Southernmost Point of Taiwan

It's cool to reach the southernmost point of Taiwan, which is closer to the northernmost point of my country. The scenic place and the landscape reminds me of the beautiful island of Batanes. ⛰

Its next to the lighthouse but the side gate of lighthouse was locked. Have to walk a big round.

Official parking space is quite far from the Southernmost point of taiwan. but if you are on a scooter, there is a small path where many illegally park for a short 15-20mins just to take photos here.

Felt like an accomplishment reaching this place. Especially memorable as it’s our first time travelling beyond Taipei. Walkable by foot from a nearby carpark.

Gets a little busy as the iconic landmark is a small area. So be prepared for photo bombers.

Wish there was more history explaining the structure/design of the statue. Great story to tell others that you’ve been to the southernmost part of Taiwan. There’s no more land beyond this!

Had a very relaxing walk towards the southernmost point. It was so peaceful. 💚

This was a nice hike that is paved the whole way. It was very level and not that steep at all. The nature surrounding you is beautiful.

Once we got the the southern most point it was a nice view with the monument. We had trouble taking a group photo but some locals were nice and offered to take the picture for us. Everyone here is no welcoming. It was a great experience.

Caught the sundown just in time. The deck was simple but beautiful in its own rustic way. The path gets dark after five as branches alongside the path towards the deck merged acting as a roof. There were no lights and it can get very menacing and spooky when the sun goes down. But with a views as pretty as this, it’s worth it!

I visited here on winter and it's very windy. A really nice and spacious place. You can take a walk around here. The view is amazing, the seawater is very blue and clean. Worth a visit.

Some people think there's nothing special here but for someone who has been living on the northern part of Taiwan for so long, I think it's amazing to be standing on the southernmost part of Taiwan.

Quite the scenic place. Perfect for short walks and IG worthy. From the parking space you would need to walk about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the endpoint.

The trail was peaceful with beautiful scenery and few people. We easily took the bus to and from the location.

No need for ticket, very pretty & an easy walking trail. Can be very sunny so get your sunscreen prepared!

The walk there is really beautiful... Alot of butterflies enjoying themselves in the sun, some crazy crabs crossing the walkway. Nice place for a small adventure.

I was lucky to visit the south most point of taiwan. Its not about a pout the beauty of coral reefs, the lush green around, color of the sun rise made me fall in love..

Disabled drivers get to park nearer free of charge, but there are cars parking illegally around the very last 500m area.

Thr walk is well maintained, there are tombs in the woods if you look carefully.

The view is very nice, but the place is too small.

It’s super hot here and there are spots with no cellphone service. Definitely cool to check out the southernmost part of Taiwan. There are some small vendors nearby selling water and ice cream. Bring sunscreen and stay hydrated!

Incredible place amazing beach with warm water and beautiful views , great place for a family travels, there's a really nice restaurant with nice refreshing drink (soft and alcoholic) very recommended!

Feeling proud getting there by public transport and lots of walking. 😅😂

I went here shortly before sunset. After walking a rather long (nice!) forest path you will be expected by an amazing ocean panorama. Unfortunately can't see Lanyu or northern Philippines. Most people might even not know what is behind the horizon ;) therefore providing some more information instead of boring stupa would be great...
After sunset there were no people left and I could enjoy the ocean breeze and sound as well as a bright sky full of stars and moonlight. That was the real beauty of the place for me
