Water House

Surprised by the low reviews - stayed here and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean and I had the baths to myself at one point! Three different hot baths; one cold bath.

Great value for the money. I’d choose it over Kagaya for that reason.

This is a rating for the 90min private hot springs room only. Water House takes walk-ins only for these rooms. They allow two people for the rooms and give you a call when you have 15min left. The room was gorgeous and had a great view of the mountains and stream. The room does not have a bed, but they do provide bottled water and bath amenities. Great experience for those who cannot stay overnight

Had a great experience! Booked their Superior Double Room for a one night stay on 11/9 for $144 USD.

Pros
- Check in was at 6pm, but we arrived a little earlier and got our room immediately.
- Access to both a lovely private en suite hot spring with Mountain View’s and public hotel hot spring.
- I forgot my charger, but they had plenty to borrow at the front desk!
- both Chinese and western breakfasts were tasty and filling!
- breakfast service was very attentive. I noticed a fellow guest’s partner was not able to join for breakfast, so the staff packed the food for her to take back to the room.

Cons
- no hangers, not a big issue for me
- had to use door handles as towel rack, also not a big issue
- water pipes were kinda loud which was a bit spooky and kept me up at night

Overall, a great experience that I’m glad we did!

Braced ourselves for the worst because of all the bad reviews on Google. But we were pleasantly surprised with how great the stay was for us!

Pros:
- Staff were great and hospitable. The standard check in time was supposed to be at 6pm, but they managed to get the room ready for us by 4pm. The staff at the breakfast restaurant was really attentive and nice too. They will notice small details like how a Caucasian guest didn’t take any butter, and brought it to her without asking.
- Room was great for the price (we paid $230 for a Saturday night stay), the in room hotspring bath was good.
- Bed although abit small, it was sufficient for us, surprisingly quite comfortable and the pillow given had sufficient support (I am quite picky about hotel pillows)
- Child friendly because their restaurant provides baby high chair.
- Read previous reviews that the floor can feel very sandy due to the tiles used. But kudos to the hotel for mitigating it by providing disposable room slippers! We even brought our own thinking it wasn’t provided but think this is a new initiative provided by the hotel after reading the reviews :)
- Very cosy place and atmosphere. Read previous reviews that it is very dark, but actually there are switches near the bed that can switch on more lights within the room, so it’s actually very bright!
- Breakfast provided is great! There is an option of western and Chinese breakfast, and we ordered one each to try. The food was so fresh and nice! The breakfast restaurant was also not packed and really nice to dine in. The staff were all courteous and nice.

Cons:
- As mentioned in previous reviews, there are no fridge and safe inside the room, but you can request for an ice bucket to be delivered to your room if you need to chill some drinks
- The Sandy feel on the floor as mentioned above. But can be avoided by wearing the slippers provided.
- No towel rack, except for a small one at the door of the toilet, but it is still acceptable as you can hang it in the room too.
- Quite a steep hike from xinbeitou station especially if you have a luggage with you, but it’s a very scenic walk.

Would definitely recommend this please to you if you are considering this place.

The room is very beautiful and clean. The hot spring water are very enjoyable. Breakfast is the best food I ever have in Taiwan. I recommend people to try the breakfast. Staffs are extremely friendly. The most friendly attitude I ever have in Taiwan. I can't even find anything to complain. That's weird. Am I too mean? By the way, we stayed two nights, and we were in the room most of the time. We sat on the tatami and it is great experience. We are thinking to make one in our house too. It will be fun. I am not sure it is wise or not because it looks like it is hard to clean tatami. I will do more research before I will put one in the house.

I was initially hesitant because of the low reviews, but this experience is nothing short of 5 stars. I paid 750 NTD for unlimited Common bathing pools. There are 3 hot and 1 cold pool for ladies. Lockers, towels, shower amenities, hair dryers, electronic locker key are all provided. There are some lounge chairs facing the pools. Extremely clean and tidy place, and the best part is no need to climb too high a hill access this place.

We just pop in to this spa hotel to have a hot spring experience. The room has a fantastic view and the facility is okay provided basic toiletry. There’s no noises around. A very pleasant experience. Definitely recommend people coming to this Waterhouse. Staff is very friendly. Very good location and lots places to visit.

Opted for a non-scenic private room for two, as i felt the scenic room was a little smaller in size. Very large and spacious room, and most importantly, it was clean. Staff were courteous, friendly and were not pushy. Great experience for those planning a day trip over from taipei.

Its holiday and we were wandering around looking for a hotel provide 90mins private hotspring.
This hotel looks cozy and high standard so we checked in.
1980NTD for 90 mins and we feel it was worth it. Clean, nice design and good view to the park with all the greenary.
90mins is more than enough for preparing, soaking and dry hair.
Maybe next time will try the nights over here.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is located near a lot of hot springs and food options. The hotel itself has its own hot springs for guests as well which is a great plus. The room was clean, comfortable and had hot springs water in the tub. The staff were friendly and we hope to come back another time!

I almost cancelled my reservation after reading some of the reviews of Water House. I assume they’ve made some changes to some of the complains I saw. The service we received was very friendly. The front desk was also helpful enough to recommend some of his personal favorite late night snack spots nearby. We went on a Monday so there was barely anyone, so it was perfect. We basically had the entire floor to ourselves.

The men’s public hot spring area was spotless. We got a bracelet from the front desk for the entry to the hot springs. They’ve provide a clean towel and a bottle of water in each locker. Slippers were also provided upon entering the locker room. There are three pools inside. One is a cold water pool and the other two are hot pools with two different temperatures.

Our room was clean and the hot spring tub is excellent. It’s also clean and ready to use. I do have to point out that they don’t have a fridge available and they also don’t have hangers for clothes in case if you need them. We didn’t mind it.

The breakfast (maybe due to lack of visitors during covid time) menu got two options only: western breakfast and Taiwanese breakfast. We went for the latter. And i thought there was plenty. We got a great amount of food and I though they were quite tasty. We asked them to substitute our porridge with a bowl of rice, instead. They were very accommodating.

I had a great time there. I will definitely go back and book more days next time.

Nice atmosphere with a private hot spring inside the hotel room.

Made reservation online including only breakfast. Checked in and was told we got an upgrade. The view was very nice. We really liked the simplicity of the decor. All was done in good taste. Service was limited but we sense the effort and sincerity from all the staff. Everyone we come in contact was very warm and attentive. We were already planning our next visit before we left.

入住房號為509，有對外窗。在agoda上預訂228連假的高級雙人房（兩人同住，平均一人一天3000，附早餐）。
地點在新北投捷運站的光明路，從捷運站沿著北投公園走路程約4-5分鐘。
晚上六點開始辦理入住，在那之前可以把行李寄放在櫃檯，早餐有七、八、九點三個時段可以選擇，退房時間為中午十二點

優點：
1.窗外風景還挺不錯的，晚上也都會有燈光不會什麼都看不到
2.浴室附的個人湯比附近一些一小時400-500元的湯屋還要濃郁得多（個人看起來，不能保證）
3.備品品質很不錯，東西給很齊全（有個人用過毛最軟的一次性牙刷；除了洗髮精沐浴乳以外還有附潤髮乳和乳液）
4.吹風機的風力很強，吹完不會毛躁
5.床包枕頭整潔度非常ok，鼻子過敏但沒有打噴嚏；接觸皮膚不會紅癢（皮膚過敏者不保證）
6.床蠻好睡的
7.附的早餐可以要求續想要的東西

缺點：
1.浴室沒有抽風，如果泡久（雖然溫泉本來就不建議泡久）或是水沒有放掉整個廁所會很悶，要解決這點只能開浴室門讓空氣稍微流通
2.承上，房間會因為這樣有點濕氣（感覺應該要附個除濕機）
3.浴室內沒有乾濕分離，衛生紙有點靠近蓮蓬頭
4.床頭那面牆是中空的，靠上去的時候會有一點聲音
5.被子不太透氣（房間不開冷氣有點悶，開冷氣就要蓋被子，有被熱醒）

個人比較介意的點：
1.床頭插座只有一邊有
2.枕頭是會陷下去那種
3.感覺櫃子和放東西的地方格局有點微妙（很難解釋，但總感覺東西會有點不知道要放哪）

雖然一晚的房價是6000左右，但由于有附個人湯，這個價錢應該要再扣掉1500-2000才會是房間的價錢，所以以連假時間的觀光區（算吧？）來說其實是可以接受的。

總的來說，服務很不錯，除了個人覺得硬體上還有一些部分可以做得更好（沒有抽風這點真的有點出乎意料）之外問題不大，會推薦給想來北投體驗一日溫泉住宿的人。
