Former residence of Tada Eikichi

It's a neatly restored traditional Japanese house with tatami mats. Entrance is free and there's a small gift shop at the end of the walkway where you can buy souvenirs or rent yukatas for pictures.

A history of Tada Eikichi and his house. This place preserved the actual look of the house and everything inside is still the same. U have to remove ur shoe to walk in the house. There’s staff handling and looking after the place as this is a tourist attraction.

There’s a coffee shop there that accepts all kind of payment and a nice friendly staff that can recommend you places to go.

I don't know much about the history of the house, but it's indeed a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats. Here, you can enjoy and learn about Japanese culture.

中午吃完阿給後，特地步行至淡水街長「多田榮吉故居」參觀，據說它是個淡水歷史景點，位處埔頂山丘的半山腰，因為位置居高臨下，所以能欣賞到整個淡水河岸景色，更重要的是：無料參觀😍
但，門前的一張公告，瞬間澆熄了我想參觀的熱情💔原來這裡因電影拍攝，2/27-3/2部分場域暫停開，3/3-3/27閉館，當然，浴衣體驗連帶暫停開放，真是可惜🥺雖然如此，我仍舊把握能參觀的區域進行瘋狂拍照。鋪上一層帆布的日式庭院，也將原有的美麗遮掩住，但靜靜望向屋廊，畫面裡充滿著日本京都氣息，倘若靜坐在屋內的「床脇」看出去，應該能眺望淡水河出海口與對岸的觀音山吧？！

多田榮吉故居在淡水圖書館對面的山坡上，可以坐公車到淡水圖書館站下車，直接走樓梯上去就看到，進場免費，裡面的環境很清幽很舒服，景色很美，可以看到對面的觀音山，還有渡船來來回回的淡水河，故居是用榻榻米和木頭做成的地板，進場要換拖鞋，如果想要拍婚紗照也可以，要先預約，故居保存的很好，也維護的很乾淨， 房子設計的很有巧思，有很棒的排水系統，庭院也非常漂亮，有水池，有樹，有造景，我當下只有一個想法，多田榮吉先生當時的生活很快樂。
