Alishan Lauya Homestay

This place is heaven on earth, the decoration and plants are well maintained and tasteful.

Behind the property is the mountain view landscape which is absolutely beautiful. The owner and staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The owner offered to drive us down the road to our dinner place and even told the shop staff to call him when we finished our dinner, so that he will come back to pick us back to the accommodation as Alishan roads is dark at night and not safe for walking, it was really heartwarming.

The accommodation is very quiet and peaceful, which is a good place to rest and relax.

This place is so cute! The views are amazing, the rooms are well decorated, and the host was so kind. He would come stand outside with us to make sure we got on the bus ok. The location is a bit far from things, but they ordered dinner for us and provided breakfast. So meals weren't too much of a concern. The bus schedules there are a bit sparse, so usually had to get back by 4p if taking public transit. Walking is a bit hazardous since there's no sidewalk, but it's not impossible.

We booked the quadruple room because the other rooms were unavailable during our stay on airbnb. The room came with its private balconies that had an amazing view of the sea of clouds and stars at night - all photos below taken from the balcony.

The airbnb also comes with a viewing platform that offers unrestricted views of the mountain.

Your host serves a cooked breakfast that really fills you up for the day. Other than that, they don’t have an operational restaurant so you’d need to find food options nearby (not really safe to walk because of the fast traffic/ lack of street lamps, but a quick drive away).

It’s wonderful place that is with grand view, beautiful gardening, and comfortable accommodation. Recommend!

This is the most beautiful hotel. It has a comfortable and breathtaking atmosphere. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. They helped my unplanned friend group plan fun things to do in Alishan. They even helped us find places to eat and drivers to take us to the best hiking and scenic areas. They are the most amazing people. Thank you for giving us the best time in Alishan🥰❤

Absolutely the best guesthouse I've stayed in Taiwan. The owners are so friendly and attentive. They gave us the best advice of visiting the beautiful Alishan without the tour groups and other tourists. We were so glad to have stayed here for 2 nights. The views are stunning from our room and the decorations is so lovely. The owners have 2 dogs and 3 cats that are calm and lovely. Will definitely stay again if we return to Alishan.

Very homely and cozy homestay that brings you close to nature! The decorations and flowers growing within the compartment lightens the atmosphere. They also have light refreshment (tea and fruits) apart from breakfast.
As the place is designed to make you feel as close to nature as possible, be prepared to see some insects appearing around the homestay. The owner is very thoughtful in providing us an electric insect swatter/zapper in case there's any insects making "special appearance" to your room.

Really quiet place to rest and relax (no young children allowed). The view out of the rooms is beautiful. They have 2 dogs and 3 cats to keep you company if you like animals. A lot of plants and close to nature. We saw a lot of beautiful butterflies and moths. There were some frogs and toads in their goldfish pond as well.

Wonderful experience at this homestay. Such a peaceful ambiance, calm, very relaxing. The staff was welcoming, kind and very helpful on giving us tips about Alishan.
If you don't like noise and respect other people by not making noise yourself, it's the perfect place.

Plant lovers will like this place a lot - the property is set in a beautiful garden with a little stream. The room has a floor to ceiling window that looks out to the mountains. What I really liked best was the charming and quirky decorations that filled the whole house - there was so many details to admire. You could see that the house owners are creative and take great pride in making their house warm and inviting.

Breakfast was so so - porridge was tasty because of the condiments but the baos from the steamer were hard and unappetizing. Coffee from the machine was quite weak.

It is pricier than other hotels but I say it is totally worth the splurge!

Can see good taste of the host around this place, nice room/lobby decorations, beautiful front garden, and spacious terrace to enjoy the valley view. Host and staffs are very helpful. A hidden gem in Alishan.

We stayed 2 nights here, a very cozy, peaceful and charming Minshu. They have a incredible garden and great view. Friendly dogs and cats. The owner is a very nice lady and she provided us with a lot of useful information to visit Ailshan and surrounding area.

Excellent homestay, clean rooms and hospitable service. There have 3 cats and 2 dogs on the property. Comfortable rooms. The owner gave us a good overview of the Alishan Park too.

Nice minsu in alishan. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are 2 dogs and 3 cats here. The animals are very adorable. They will provide transport to ferry you for dinner to and back from the minsu. Sight seeing can also be arrange here except for train ticket to see sunrise you will have to travel to fengqihu to get it.

Homestay is located in a superb environment located in the Alishan Mountains. The rooms are cosy and well-equipped with facilities such as heater for the cold weather. The host is hospitable and friendly. A very quaint and quiet homestay, definitely highly recommend if you are visiting Alishan!

Enjoyed my stay in 2013. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very customized advice given by the owners and staff; Appreicate their patience. Surrounding is peaceful with good view. Room is very clean as well.

Tots relaxed and Zen place to be.. Private view and cozy B&B.. Good selection of teas in the morning.. Tiny issue with the shower as they only extended the shower head from the basin.
