The BEST surfing shop in Jialeshui! Chris, the instructor, provides very detailed instructions about the surfing — very informative and easy to understand for beginners as well. All staffs are very friendly and easy going too, especially May. Her assistance during the lesson was very helpful and fun! Above all, there are super cute/friendly dogs at the shop, relaxing and greeting visitors from time to time (attached is a photo of a mascot puppy of the shop). My wife and I will definitely revisit soon. Thanks again Chris and May!

A relaxing place makes me feel like staying more.
Owners are quite warm, creative, and friendly. Tho I didn't do surfing and just lazy wandering in room, i enjoyed the quiet and wide surroundings very much, as well as the company by 5 various kids!
They also provide tasty food and juice.
Highly recommended Summer Point, not only for surfing in the ocean but surfing in room.

I've been coming to Summerpoint since 2016 and always have such a wonderful time here! The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet with amazing views of the ocean, plus the plants, books and hammock in the rooms are a nice touch. The owners have many friendly dogs who cozy up to you during breakfast and the best part is that this place is just a five-minute walk to the beach.

Fantastic place to stay in Jialeshiou. We only stayed for two nights but it felt like home! The owners are very welcoming and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Our room was bright, large, clean with an amazing ocean view. Breakfast was included and delicious. Surf board rentals and a great cafe next door. We were happy to spend a bit of extra money to stay at this great place.

Surfer or not, this is the best place to stay in Jialeshui. The owners are super friendly and speak perfect English. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it's about a 2-minute walk to a left point break and a 5-minute walk to a rivermouth break. Last but not least, the American-style breakfast will leave your stomach happy all morning! SummerPoint is one of my favorite places in all of Taiwan.

Chris and Monica are great hosts. They always go beyond and above helping us within their ability and make us feel welcome.

Summerpoint is great place for laughters and good vibes.

The owner Chris and his staffs Doris/ Xiao Mie are friendly and awesome hosts. The room is huge, clean and comfortable for a longer stay. The surf here at Jialeshui is big enough for a newbie like me and the beach only a short 10min walk away. Surf lesson is personally conducted by Chris too - professionally attentive but never overbearing.

Great place, off the beaten path. The nights are serene, the morning a delight of birds' concert with a rooster tenoring away.

Had a great brunch here. Super friendly service and laid back vibe. Worth a stop after a morning at the surf beach. They also rent boards.

It rains cats and dogs when we just got there.
Bad news is that a typhoon is coming.
Although there is no surfing which we expect.
