Shuiyang Forest

Big reward for a fairly low effort! The trek takes about 4-5h one way (from the forest side) with only one steep section at the end. From Alishan the trek is considerably longer

During the summer the water is much cleaner thanks to the nearby tiny rivers, but one the dry season hits the lake gets still and dirty (=bring your own water)
It is possible to swim inside the lake if there's enough water, but the water is pretty cold!

Campsite next to the forest lake is not too spacious (6 tents?) but there's a bigger campsite "around the corner" which will welcome you with tons of trash.

Avoid weekends to escape the crowds and especially the commeesial groups.

A very beautiful place and give you a piece of peaceful mind!
However, there is no mountain house, you must camp here. And some people really not nice at all that “toilet” next to the water, which is everyone’s water source there. Come on!!!

Mysterious hidden place, worth to visit once in life. And this spot will not exist forever since it was created by 921 earthquake and will last more about 20+ years only.

So beautiful. Worth the hike for 6 hrs. Better be early because it will be crowded especially on holidays . Advice to go there @ weekdays.

Very peaceful, some trails are challenging, the long hike is worth it, beautiful big trees.

Definitely the Top 10 of most beautiful place of Taiwan. Also, there is a hot place for hiking.
Highly recommend for visitors to be there at working day. That will be a truly quiet place you can enjoy, or you’ll camp with people mountain people sea.

Gorgeous lake located deep in the mountains. Really special. 10k trail is not easy for amateur to complete but it’s totally worthy. Need to prepare well before going there.

仁亭登山口水漾森林臨來回單攻
水漾森林美景如圖，天氣好時，枯木杉林湖水鏡攝倒影，景緻寧靜幽美。
早上5:30左右到達登山口，頭燈帶著，早晚備用，以側安全。
由於高聳杉林林立，陽光照射不易，沿途多處路面濕滑，部分路段泥濘，無輪晴雨，建議着"登山鞋或雨鞋"。
沿途咬人貓、芒草叢生，為避免劃傷，建議攜帶: 手套、登山仗。
一路緩坡上升好走，但達水漾森林前1~2公里，需陡上幾百公尺後，經一片平緩杉林路段後又急劇陡下(有幾處短暫攀爬)，這段路較累需小心行走。
冬季太陽下山快，提早下山，避免夜行(最好中午12:00前下山，以約步行時速約3公里上下，約下午4:30左右可回仁亭登山口)

領隊Ryan非常熱情且充滿活力朝氣帶領著同行的夥伴一同前往一個自然形成堰塞湖水漾森林，沿路有平緩的林道、有陡峭的地形、有最原始的森林更有雲煙繚繞的體驗，從杉林溪森林遊樂區仁庭出發約莫6小時，似乎看到熱食的香味與一頂頂的小帳篷呼喊著迎接我們的到來，一看到#山野傳奇，這高山協作夥伴的用心準備，瞬間疲倦的身軀變得更有能量，到了營地後，卸下厚重的背包。
山野傳奇的薑茶及溫水，暖了我的五感。
到了，他們說5:30開飯喔！我瞬間回：這麼早吃晚餐喔，原來他們前一晚就開始準備我們的到來，滿滿7菜1湯的豐盛晚餐，得來非常不易。
後來他們娓娓道水漾森林的故事與山裡的故事，隔天一早5:30就被他們的早餐香味給吵醒。
爬出帳篷看到滿桌早餐，在水漾森林可以吃到市區的漢堡口感，真的來對了！
又玩了sup感受到靜寍的聲音。
