Ciyun Temple

Reviewing a temple is odd, as it's foremost a place of worship, dedication and study, and I can't/won't review its fitness as a place of religious devotion. For a tourist, it's a small, cute temple at the top of a mountain among large, green trees, steep trails, a small museum and a school. A small moss garden surrounds it the local area and there are bathrooms available for use nearby. I hiked to it but it's next to a small road, so there might be easier ways up. If you're in Alishan I'd highly recommend a look.

Serene and scenic temple, a great place to watch sunset and sea of clouds at Alishan. You can purchase some warm beverages at the side of the temple to warm yourself up.

一座清淨的小寺廟，庭園佈置得優雅，秋末有楓紅及銀杏黃，是阿里山著名的觀夕陽、雲海的地方，在雲霧飄渺間，更顯得它的靈氣了！

部分葉片有轉色，部分還沒轉色，部分已被雨水打落，沒看到完整的楓紅及銀杏滿滿的黃葉，比較可惜。

日式高山寺廟為台灣最高佛寺之一。紅簷綠瓦的獨特建築建於1919年。寺內主供釋迦牟尼佛和觀世音菩薩。
