Spring City Resort

A nice and affordable getaway in the Spring city of Beitou. Getting there was a bit of a journey from Taipei city which took about an hour, but it was still quite easy to get there. There were many different bathing pool to choose from which was a pleasant experience, because it wasn’t too crowded on a weekday afternoon. If you’re not too sensitive about having other people in the same pool as you, it can be very pleasant and other than would recommend. There are also private bath that you can go to as well.

Loved our stay here. The hot springs were super fun for adults and kids. Our room was really comfortable and so much fun for the kids to have a hot springs tub they could jump in at any hour of the morning for fun as they were adjusting to jet lag. Everyone was really nice and it was easy to get into more lively areas of the city by taxi or Uber.

This place is indeed something special and undoubtedly one of the highlights of our Taiwan trip. Open until 10 pm, it depends on how much time you have. If you have half a day, I'd recommend going one hour before sunset; otherwise, spend 2-4 hours in the evening when it's already dark. There are several options available; we booked ours via Klook. Check out the options there: exclusive SPA, private SPA, or just the entrance to the general SPA (which is already quite luxurious!). You can also add an optional meal, which is probably pretty nice too. They also have a rooftop pool with a great view over the city. To my understanding, it's only included in the so-called Pavilion Club, which is also the most expensive option. So, make sure you have the whole day to fully enjoy it.

At first the outdoor springs felt small but I ended up spending 4 hours.
Got 3 mosquito bites but really well kept and nice outdoor areas.

It is crowded today as it is Taiwan 228 public holiday. Otherwise it will be perfect.

Visited the spa (not as a hotel guest) and it was perfect! It was clean, hygienic, and very pleasant after a hard couple of weeks at work. They have everything you need - towels, hairdryers (which looked good enough for my thick hair), moisturiser, flip flops, lockers, disposable hair caps.. the only thingy they don’t have is conditioner. I walked there, which is up quite a steep hill, but I caught the shuttle bus back and it stopped at Beitou mrt which was very handy. Full marks, from someone who’s hard to please (the 800$ was well spent).

great choice for private onsen bath within the room. water pressure is good. bathroom combined is big hence room size still manageable. TV has Netflix. Wi-Fi is ok too. breakfast spread is up to standard. hotel staff are very friendly and helpful with great recommendations. location is a little hard to find for drivers who may not be familiar with the mountain signs but hotel has shuttle bus to nearest metro station. overall good location to stay and also good if wanna go to 杨明山

It is closer to Metro Station. We took taxi back and forth. It is fun to use the open air pool. we came on a Thursday so not that many people. Hotel staff is very helpful calling taxi for us.

Only here for the hot springs. It was a rainy day, so we missed the shuttle going up, so ended up taking a cab which was about $90 NT. Overall experience was very relaxing. There weren’t a lot of people because of the weather. Would definitely go again.

Great room with onsen in the room and outdoor pubilc onsen for only hotel guest(all gender and everyone must wear swimming suit/swimming pants/bikini etc..) but can not take a photo at public onsen and you can buy a swim suit at the hotel if you did not bring it. (Distance approximately 1.2-1.5 km from MRT xinbeitou (red line) to hotel. Can use uber or walk)

The hotel room is kinda outdated, but the bathroom with the hot spring bathtub is remodeled and very delightful.
The reason I gave 5 star is the delicious Japanese food on 2F and the breakfast buffet!

We went for the public hot spring pools/hot tubs. Great for the whole family! Everyone, including my 10-year-old, enjoyed the experience.

The hotel is old but clean. The hot spring is the best I've ever had. The service is exceptional as well. Free shuttle bus runs between the hotel and mrt stations that is one best thing for looking around the area easily. Would definitely send a friend there.

I come here every year I’m home, love the water, the tub and the staff is incredibly nice and thorough.

Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and I love that you also get onsen water in the tub.

Among the hotels at Beitou hot spring area, the cost for hot spring or the room for one night at Spring city resort was good value. The hot spring was good quality and the dinner at Japanese restaurant was quite nice with very helpful and kind staff. We were pleased to spend our time at this hotel in Taipei.

Bought the hot spring ticket via klook and redemption was very easy, just need to show the mobile ticket.

We chose the open air public pool. Just need to bring your swimwear and they will provide a bathrobe, towels, shower cap and slippers. You can bring back the slippers if you want. The shower/changing room is quite equipped, with locker and the usual amenities such as comb, hair dryer and lotion etc.

There are a variety of pools from 38-42 degrees and most come with jacuzzi. The environment is nice and clean.

Service staff were all friendly. There's also a regular shuttle bus to and fro the nearby train stations.

Room size is pretty good, with a workable size of work desk, which suits someone in a business trip. The bathroom is large and the private hot spring is very comfortable.
Besides, had a Japanese dinner at second floor was tasty. And the most important part is the service of the hotel, I am fully satisfied with their friendly and helpful front desk staffs.

But one thing that have to pay attention is their lifts to room, same floor has different lifts, and you won't able to reach your room if you get into a wrong one's.

Spring City Resort is great for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, but close enough to the city that you can pop right back in without missing a beat! Friendly staff, welcoming environment, and good food.

Hot baths were amazing. I loved that you could enjoy the hot bath in your room or in the public bath area. My toddler son also really enjoyed the property. I really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back when I go back to Taiwan again. Would recommend to all my friends and family!

Terrific place to take the family to experience Beitou Hot Springs for the day. We got there around 10:30 on a Monday. When you arrive you are given a robe, sandals, a couple of towels, and shown to the locker room where you can shower and change. The locker room was very clean. There are 9 different public pools you can experience all with different temperatures including a cold water pool. Several of the pools have showers at different pressures which were almost as good as a massage. My family had a great time; we spent close to 3 hours there. There's a spinning machine in the locker room to wring your clothes dry. The resort is a 20 minute walk up the hill from the Xinbeitou MRT station; I believe there's a shuttle bus that can take you if you don't want to walk. The walk back down is quite easy.

Am giving it 5 stars for what it is - that is a nice clean communal onsen experience. This is not a luxury resort onsen but it is a fun open air communal experience that you can share with your loved ones and kids. My partner and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to kick back and relax together in the 9 different hot spring pools that they have there while taking in the surrounding mountain scenery!
