Alishan Sunrise

If you cant book the hotel up at Alishan, you can book this place. This place located one hour away from Alishan.

The room was clean, nice and beautiful. Just they do not have ceiling fan, more to fresh air. I think they just renovated it. It smells new.

My husband and I visited Alishan after the Lunar New Year. We chose this Airbnb mainly because the price was very affordable, and secondly, mostly good reviews on Google.

We were not disappointed at all! It was a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb for us! The room was nice,clean, and spacious. It didn't have an AC, but the temperature was comfortable in the afternoon/night/morning we stayed there. It was quiet the night we stayed there.

The breakfast was AMAZING! Very fresh and delicious! The cats, the plants, and all the little things were taken good care of at this Airbnb place. The hosts were also very friendly and informative. We really enjoyed and loved this place!

Overall, we had an awesome experience with this Airbnb! Highly recommended!

I love this place sm!!! incredibly homely and am very glad to be graced by 2 lovely homeowners! Breakfast is great (accompanied by relaxing music!) and the my first sunrise viewing was phenomenal :)
They even have a cat house!!!!!!!!! I love the tatami mats and japanese wooden interior design. Would love love love love love to come back again! There’s also a bus stop that goes straight to alishan!

Just spent a week here and thought this place was a gem. It was affordable and well located for all the things we wanted to do.

Pros:
- 5-7 min walk to bus stop which took us everywhere we wanted to go (10 min to Xiding, 15 min to Shizhuo, 25 min to Fenqihu, and 45 to Alishan)
- near 7-11 (by the bus stop; it takes credit card but the B&B is in a small town where most businesses take cash)
- reliable and strong WiFi (we had a positive experience here though I saw some reviews with complaints on it)
- quiet and tons of privacy (we were located in the separate guesthouse and really enjoyed this; rarely saw other guests except during breakfast)
- mountain views and sunrise viewing platform just a quick walk away
- welcoming and friendly staff; everyone was super helpful (use Google translate to communicate)
- water dispenser and endless tea (this is always a PRO for me because so many places don’t offer this or free water 😩)
- spacious room (for a couple, it was the perfect size)

Cons:
- a lot of 7-11 meals cause there weren’t many restaurants in walking distance
- a few inclined slopes to get up to the B&B (personally didn’t mind but may be tough for some people)
- bed was slightly uncomfortable (it wasn’t the worst but we stayed a week here so we started to feel it towards the end)
- no fridge or microwave in the room (they do provide this in the lobby though, so we appreciated that)

super cute minsu with lovely and friendly owner. the owner was very approachable and there were many cats here under his care. he told us the optimal spots to see the sunrise there and breakfast was very hearty! this minsu was a really nice place to stay and we felt very safe there

Visited in Nov. Nice and quiet place. Will have to go upslope for some distance from bustop. View is great and the friendly owner will let you know what time to catch the sunrise and also brief you onsite. Many cats kept by them which you can interact with. The breakfast oolong mantou is unique.

Very happy stay at Alishan Sunrise - friendly welcome and service by the owners. The room was cozy and decorated like a wooden log cabin - shower has hot water and pretty much everything you'd need for a stay. Sunrise viewing platform is a 2 min walk behind the accommodation. Getting food and other necessities is not an issue as there is a 7-Eleven outlet at the main road near the bus stop. Complimentary breakfast every morning from 7 to 9.30am

Awesome stay at Alishan Sunrise. 10/10 shower pressure is a huge plus after a day of hiking, be a little bit patient for the water temperature to reflect, the hosts are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, Oolong tea buns are a must-try. It was too cloudy to see the sunrise at their secret spot, but why not enjoy the peacefulness and the mountain view. There is a 7-11 near the bus station, we took buses (台灣好行) to commute between high speed rail, Alishan, and train station. The transit was pretty smooth if you do your research and plan accordingly. Definitely recommend for a simple and local stay.

Stayed one night on weekday in JAN 2023
Double room without view(which was okay for us), very reasonable price around 35euro(breakfast included)
We came to Alisan for hiking, just need a clean room and hot shower.

There is a 7-11 convenient store just downhill on the main road where you can have food.

Highly recommend.

Just be aware that the room has poor sound insulation.

The rooms felt like Japanese Tatami. Super clean, wooden floors and a sunrise viewing area! There was free parking but there was 2 flight of stairs from the parking area to the rooms, so pack light!

they have more than 10 cats here
and baby chickens which are super cute

They have very unique dinners, which give me surprise! You can order it during check-in. I strongly recommend you to order it, it takes around NT380, but with unique local experience.

If you find the food is not enough, you can buy some instant noodles.

They have a very big hall, you can take rest, read books there.

The room is very comfortable, in wooden style and Tatami.

They have some students living and working here. And they provide me with excellent services and patience.

I love the cats, the living style, the design, the food. I will recommend to live here.

The bad things here have two.
One is not convenient to Alishan, since it is not in the central area. So, every time you go visiting tourist spots, you need to wait and take 1 hour bus. My suggestion is driving cars to come here.

Second is they do not have any night market nearby, if you want to go out for fun at night. You will find bored since no convenience store, no tourist spot nearby.

My suggestion is staying here for one night is already enough.

The location is abit inconvenient to access, thou the bus stop is about 600m away. Do note of the buses timetable. Its a uphill slope, so if you dont drive, it can be tiring , especially if you are with the elderly. The cabin lodge like room is basic, clean and comfortable. The viewing platform is less than 100m away from the lodge.

Alishan is a very impressive place that I suggest everyone must visit once. In fact, there are a lot of memories which you might see there from Taiwanese history. Moreover, this natural environment is very scarce to see in the world indeed especially nowadays. I enjoy and get a great amount of exceptional and remarkable feeling there, and I think you might have the same feeling as well once you visit there.

Very nice foods here, everything fresh. The bosses are friendly and nice. You can see nice sunrise here if lucky enough for the weather. The worst thing here is the slopes when come , it's really high hill. Not recommend for elderly and young babe.
