Hotel Indigo Alishan

Just spent a night at the hotel indigo alishan with my family and we had an amazing time here. The hotel is well decorated with lots of original arts and the rooms are very clean. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly and professional. The front desk Sheryl and Autumn were helpful and definitely made us feel very welcome in this hotel. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are also very fun to hang out with. Very delightful to see such world class hotel nests in a such beautiful forest area ! Thank you for all the staff working so hard to make all the visitors feel so welcomed and could have a restful stay!

My friends and I had a delightful stay at Hotel Indigo Alishan. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Chef Charlie who personally brought me my favorite rice noodles, and General Manager Jakob who went the extra mile to assist us with our luggage at checkout.

The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a delicious variety of dishes, and the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. We particularly enjoyed taking refreshing dips in the heated infinity pool, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views.

Our Mountain View room, while a touch smaller than anticipated, boasted a spacious bathroom with a bidet/toilet and a relaxing bathtub. The unique, glass bathroom door offered a sleek look, but it took a moment to adjust the lighting controls at night. The friendly staff was happy to show us how.

Overall, we had a fantastic time at Hotel Indigo Alishan. The combination of stunning scenery, delicious food, and exceptional service makes this hotel a gem. We'll definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Taiwan.

Everything at this hotel is top notch! Rooms, service, cleanliness were all fantastic! You have the check out the rooftop bar and infinity pool! The bartender made us some exceptional drinks, highly recommend to unwind after a long day of hiking or driving 👍🏼

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel while visiting Alishan and Yushan. The hotel design takes aspiration from the local history . The room are spacious , clean and the staff really helpful specially Autumn and Shirley who went the extra mile to assure our logistic needs. A special mention to the chef for his specialities on offer at the breakfast and dinner buffets . Highly recommended !

We had a wonderful experience while staying at Hotel Indigo Alishan on Jan. 23 - 24, 2024. Their front office staff (Rachel and York in particular) were very courteous, friendly and professional; and they provided us with warm welcome on arrival and cheerful farewell at check-out. In general, we truly appreciate their passion and enthusiasm towards providing high quality services. Another note - the shuttle bus service provided by the hotel was really helpful!

High quality service and hotel facilities. I would recommend 2-3 nights here. Free shuttle to Alishan National Park by reservation.

The only issue I have based on my experience was the dining options - Very expensive and lack of options. Probably the 7-11 next door was my recommendation.

One of the Best hotel in Taiwan. Beautiful location and breakfast was amazing. Especially chef Charlie made custom food order for us because we are vegetarian. Charlie was very helpful and kind. I will sure visit this hotel incase if I back in Taiwan.

We had a short but excellent stay with excellent personalised service from the staff and the manager Jakub himself, who went out his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again!

Suggest you can enjoy the concept of the designs in hotel/room as i spent lot time to find out the lovely designs in each corners.
I like the red/blue concept reflects maple leaves and 台灣藍鵲 (an unique blue bird in Taiwan).
The team show strong passion and hospitality. They keep nice distance to let us enjoy/explore by ourselves while still friendly to us for any supports.
Food here is awesome (highly recommend to include dinner). Semi-buffet is really delicate and also link to Taiwan foods concepts. Really had a good dining experience in the dinner & breakfast.

This is lovely place to just stay and scroll around. Recommend to stay here for some celebrations - will be unforgettable experience.

Our first visit to this beautiful hotel in Alishan! We love the view from our room although it was foggy on the day we arrived! We were so lucky to see the spectacular sunrise in the next morning! The breakfast was fantastic even for a vegetarian! The service staff was very attentive and professional! Irene is a star while we asked about the local hiking route! I don’t normally review hotels unless they stand out. My wife and I stayed one night at the Hotel Indigo Alishan prior to going to Yushan National Park the next day. I wish I could have stayed longer.

We drove 3.5 hours from Taipei and arrived later in night. I was so happy to see the room to be very modern and clean. Also the shower was a perfect temperature.

The breakfast spread the next day was delicious with lots of variety. My wife is vegetarian so the chef took the time to point out everything that was vegetarian.

The service was also excellent from everyone at check-in to breakfast to check-out.

The views from the hotel are amazing and I wish I could have spent more time to explore the immediate area.

Great hotel! New, clean, modern, and spacious king room. The staff provided exceptional service and hospitality. Side note; the front desk will gladly assist in arranging any taxi services. Also has a daily limited times shuttle service to Alishan National Forest. The rooftop pool/star gazing deck was a great perk to have while in Alishan. Dining is limited and expensive, but the rooftop bar has a food menu which can be a better option for some. Overall our stay was a great experience.

The Indigo Alishan is a fantastic place to stay if you are visiting Alishan. It has a rooftop viewing area which is perfect to see the sunrise. The rooftop also has a pool and a bar which is great for watching stars at night.

The hotel is VERY clean (zero mold in the showers). If you have read my other hotel reviews you would know that I hate showers that leak water everywhere. This hotel made their shower right ;) no water leakage (great job :)

While we were I. The restaurant eating breakfast, the waiter noticed my wife did not finish the over ripe banana. He later came and told her he reported it to the kitchen that the bananas were over ripe. Great service and detail. Kudos to the waiter.

I stayed in the Indigo hotel before but the one in Taipei (I stayed during COVID). both of my stays in Indigo have been wonderful.

Would stay here again ? YES ! Absolutely ! My wife and I enjoyed our stay here and hope to bring g our kids here for a stay in the future.

I recently celebrated my father's 72nd birthday at Hotel Indigo Alishan over the weekend, marking the first time in 10 years that I've been able to celebrate with my parents since immigrating overseas. Overall, it was a delightful experience filled with thoughtful touches and warm hospitality.

Before our arrival, I communicated with the hotel regarding my father's birthday, dinner reservations, and the various needs that come with traveling with a 2-year-old. The hotel staff, particularly Ms. Pan, Flora And Rivers at the front desk, were incredibly responsive and accommodating, fulfilling every request from a crib for my son to birthday cards(in both English & Chinese) and a cake in our rooms. Their enthusiastic service made my parents feel truly at home.

During the Turndown Service, the housekeeping staff noticed me struggling to wash my son's hands while carrying him and immediately provided a step stool to make our stay more convenient.

The rooftop bar offered a stunning view, and the bartender's friendly service, along with a diverse selection of welcoming drinks for all ages, added to the positive experience. Additionally, my parents, who woke up early to catch the sunrise at the rooftop, were highly satisfied with the breathtaking views and the hot cocoa and bread provided by the hotel. They took numerous photos, making me even more grateful for booking this trip.

We also participated in a handmade soap-making class, led by the lively and well-prepared instructor, Ms. Tsai. The interactive class included a photo session, hand-drawing packaging for the soap, and even stamps, ensuring that everyone, from the 72-year-old grandpa to the 2-year-old toddler, had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

While the dinner prices were on the higher side, the delicious food and the surprise creamy cheesecake for my father made it worthwhile. The two-day stay truly lived up to the hotel's promise of being unforgettable and enjoyable.

However, there were a couple of issues with frontline service:

1. Near the rooftop pool, the wet and slippery conditions were not actively addressed. My son slipped a few times while playing, which I understand due to his running around. However, we witnessed another guest slipping on the stairs later, and the service staff did not immediately respond. Instead, they engaged in a lengthy discussion about the hotel's slip prevention measures before finally offering assistance. This seemed lacking in crisis management for a hotel of international standards.

2. The attitude of the service staff in the breakfast restaurant was subpar. Our room reservation did not include breakfast, but we had pre-booked it when making our dinner reservation to ensure my parents could enjoy a seamless journey without pricing concerns. On the morning of our breakfast, we waited for several minutes before being attended to by a waiter with a seemingly indifferent attitude. After informing me that breakfast was not included in our room reservation, I replied that I was aware of it. As he was about to lead us to our table, he suddenly turned back and asked, "Did you know that breakfast for one person is $9XX?（你知道早餐一個人要$9XX嗎？）" This caught me off guard and made me feel uncomfortable, as I had already made a reservation, indicating my awareness of the pricing. And the tone and demeanor made it seem like he assumed I couldn't afford it, adding to the negative experience. I hope for more tactful communication in the future.

Despite these issues, the overall performance of the hotel is commendable. Once again I'd like to thanks to Ms. Pan and Flora, front desk personnel whose enthusiastic service made my parents feel at home. And to Rivers, who we saw everywhere and was always willing to provide assistance with a smile. Your hospitality made our trip heartwarming and enjoyable. We sincerely appreciate it.

The Hotel Indigo Alishan is a relatively new property that, for us, provided a wonderful two-day getaway weekend over my wife’s birthday. The property itself is modern and has a very attractive and funky design. The room was extremely comfortable, with nice ‘zones’ for reading, relaxing, changing, and viewing the wonderful mountains and clouds from the balcony. My wife really enjoyed the bath, and the rooftop pool, jacuzzi and bar are worth going to over and over again. The entire hotel is very well managed. From arrival, where you are given a refreshing local drink, to departure, all of the staff members are smiling, helpful and knowledgeable. Special shout-out to Flora at the front desk and the young lady serving nice drinks on the rooftop. The Alishan reserve is terrific to visit and easily accessible via a comfortable transfer from the hotel. Worked smoothly! We did not have dinner in the hotel but breakfast was tasty, fresh and diverse. We will definitely visit again!

Experienced a enchanted trip at here, from the arrival to departure. With the aboriginal deco but not lack of design, it’s definitely a eye-catching adventure; besides, the mountainous surrounding and the silent vibe could also deeply let you drop off the stress. Nonetheless with all the excellent amenities, nice space for residents and the friendly, helpful staffs, especially Paul and Elise I want to mention by the chance.
