I had a fantastic experience at Good Wave Tribe in Kenting, i took the English class. Their teaching style was engaging, making the learning process enjoyable. The provide equipments was in good condition. The class included pictures taken by a professional. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

You can take a class kindly in English for 30 minutes, then go out to the sea and surf for 2 hours. If you want, you can take a break after class, such as having a meal, and then continue surfing practice again.

Another professional instructor takes pictures in high definition from time to time. As someone who knows surfing well, he captures wonderful moments amazingly. There are no additional costs for taking photos or renting a board.

As I'm a foreigner, I can't use online approval when booking classes, so I have to visit offline in person. Other than that, everything was good.

We booked a two days surfing class at the Good Wave Tribe1173 Shop and we have to be honest: Today was our best surf lesson so far! That is mostly thanks to our teacher Ryo, who is a great teacher and a great and very relaxed guy. He first explained the theory at the shop before we got some water and headed to the ocean. The waves were not super big but then we are beginners. It was simply fantastic! Ryo gave us detailed explanations and we caught some pretty nice waves. A photographer took a couple of nice shots of us and back at the shop we got some cold drinks - at no extra cost! We can highly recommend Ryo and we are proud to be part of the Tribe 1173!

I had my first surfing lessons ever in my life, so I choose the beginner lessons. It started with a 30 minutes theory lesson on shore, which was parts in chinese and english, so it’s perfect for people who can’t speak chinese. The lesson was with a lot of details and I felt perfectly prepared to go to the water. The group had a size of 5 which was perfect. After the theory it followed a 2 hours practical lesson. Because the teacher explained it so well I could stand a wave in my first try. I was so excited and hyped that the time flies by. It was a lot of fun and I felt that I learned a lot in just one lesson! I would definetly recommend this surfing school and will go there again. They even provided drinks and gear! Thank you so much!

A cool instructor who gives lessons in English without any problems. Had a one on one lesson and he can tune the content based on your level of surfing if you already know bits.
The photographer also takes nice shots that you can check for what to improve and share.

Their shop is right on the beach which is another big plus. Overall a fun experience.

Had such an amazing experience! Instructor was super encouraging and patiently explained everything. What impressed me most was his focus on safety, that's of utmost importance as a tourist and as a beginner surfer. Very reasonable price with photos and videos included (especially with 2+ people in the course). Thank you and look forward to visiting again soon!

We had a great surf Group lesson with Ryo! Booking was uncomplicated and Ryo‘s teaching is fantastic. It’s rare to find a good surfing coach in Taiwan who can teach in English. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed catching some beginner waves 🌊

Me and my friend tried a surfing lesson at tribe surf. The duration of this lesson was 2 hours. We loved it! Ryo, the teacher, was lovely and fluent in english! We even got a sweet treat at the end which was lovely! Would higly recommend!

We read in a review that the trainer was terrific and handsome. We can now thoroughly confirm that this is the case. We had a very good two hours learning the basics, falling in the water, feeling like idiots - the trainer was very uplifting and skilled enough that everyone caught an easy wave or two.

We had the best experience! We had a surf lesson and the instructor was incredible. He gave us a really detailed and helpful learning session before going out on the water. And in the water he would give us great feedback that made our surfing a lot better. There were other staff members looking out after us and we felt very safe. They had a professional camera and took great photos of us which they shared after the lesson.

This has been my first longboard surfing lesson and it was going way better than expected. Could book a lesson just for the next day (not sure how much in advance you need to book in busier times). Since I do not have a Taiwanese phone number I could leave my LINE ID and communicate with the trainer via that messaging app. We got suits to take the lessons in (nevertheless you need swimming shorts/ bikini/ swim suits BELOW the surfing suit) as well as shoes. The trainer spoke perfect English and was very patient. We could try our luck with the surf boards even after the official lesson ended which was a nice surprise. Would recommend for first time as well as continuous surf lessons.

Great instructor! Great family-run business! He is patient and chill, and he knows what he’s doing! He speaks fluent English and Mandarin. It was my first lesson and I was able to stand up many times with his guidance! I was able to take what I learned and surf on my own later in the afternoon. A very good experience and will be back to catch some more waves!

You find here everything, what makes your wateractivities heart beat faster. From Kanu, SUP to surfboard rental or lessons. After your watersport workout you get a yammie homemade Dessert and Cold Drink included. Also you find here a nice area to hang out and trink different kind of beers.The owner speaks very well English and explains all techniques clearly understandable. Was a lot of Fun. Thanks a lot to tribe surfschool.

This is the best surf school ever! Not only did their shop look beautiful, Sean was an amazing coach who really knows how to teach beginners the basic skills and knowledge in order to pick up surfing independently. All the staff there were so accommodating and friendly, and the customer service was superb. We will definitely visit them the next time we return!

We had a good beginners surflesson. The instructor was clear and friendly. The sea was not that wild, but we still managed to catch some waves. There was someone extra with us to take loads of pictures (maybe even a bit too much haha). The instructeur and other staff took very good care of us. They provided drinks, loads of information, first aid (for a little scratch), and even had some travel tips. We felt very Welcome ☺

Went here for surfing over the weekend, cool place. They provide you with water and an drink after and teach you, then you get a good amount of time in the water. The waves were really heavy that day but we each got to surf a good 15 or so times. Wish I was in town longer to try out more lessons!

the coach is professional. give advices and correct posture accordingly. My husband and I were able to stand on the board and surf at the end of the two hours class. There was another staff staying on the beach to take pictures. Will take more classes if come to tai wan again. absolutely recommended.

Amazing surf school! I have had surf classes in many countries around the world and this is really my favourite so far.

Leo has a lot of patient and takes his time for us. Because it is just a short time you stand on the board you sometimes don't know what you are doing wrong. He obviously checks how you are doing and gives you feedback in the end. It was amazing and we will definitely be back!
