Fun swimming spot! There is a rocky hike (about 10 min) to get to the water so make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes

Gorgeous little walk. The path is nicely maintained with big observation decks to enjoy the view. The sunset behind the mountain was beautiful!

Snorkeling spot. Difficult to reach due to the rocky path, it takes at least 15 minutes to get there from the elementary school. Deep water and high cliffs, can jump into the sea. Ropes are hanging from the cliffs so you can managed to get of the sea. Their is absolutely no shade there, it can be very hot in summer. Bring plenty of water and food because there are no shops nearby.

After only 1 visit of this place it became my one of the favorites places close to Taipei.
JUMPING FROM THE CLIFF!
Snorkeling, sunbathing, clear and amazing water like from the movies.
Just be aware, no convenient stores, very hot, so prepare sunscreen, iced water and some shadow.

It takes less than three hours to get here by bus in Taipei. You can take a train also, however,it takes a time and might takes more than 3 hours depending on situation. Once you get here, go to the diving centre and rent snorkeling gears for swimming. The prices is 250 taiwan dollars for one day regardless of time limits. But beware that water is quite deeper and waves is pretty much harsh as you must be careful when you are swimming. Do not go far away from the caves. One guy was drown to dead just couple of weeks ago as he tried to go further. Scenery of dragon cave is so awesome and when it’s going to be rainy, I recommend you to not visit this place as rocks are so steep and dangerous in terms of reach the place.

Heaven for climbers and snorkeler. Best time of my vacation was spent here. I met many Japanese climbers taking their entire vacation climbing in Longdong. Truly amazing place. The rock feels fantastic, so many routes, you should get the climbing book though. Free water solo is awesome too. The beach is cleaned monthly by local volunteers. There are many hostels nearby specialized for climbers. Come enjoy this rock heaven. I can't recommend it enough.

One of the best day trips I've done in Taiwan. You can take the bus here and stop nearby and rent some snorkelling equipment. You definitely want to get some water shoes with the rubber soles too since the trek there and the snorkelling area itself is rocky. Snorkelling there was amazing! We went in September and it was a scorching hot day. The water was clear, refreshing, and there's tons of marine life to observe. There's also a rope to climb up one of the rocks which you can then jump off of. Do be careful if you come here to snorkel though since you can get easily get injured and it's not an easy area to access for rescuers. You can finish the day with a hike up one of the nearby mountain trails.

Terrific spot for snorkeling. Great fish and some nice coral. You have to walk along large rocks for 15 min to access this spot but I like that sort of thing. Would be too hot in the middle of summer though.

Best spot to cliff jumping, snorkeling, and having fun so far. No safeguard with too-safe rule! There are many store to rent diving / snorkeling tools not so expensively.

This place is awesome for snorkeling! There are places you can rent equipment and the water is clear with fish. Although there are no restaurants near this place, there are convenience stores nearby. Getting to the snorkeling area is quite difficult, and the rocks are very slopped. Overall, I think everyone should experience the fun here!
