Ketagalan Culture Center

Fantastic Culture Centre, showcasing superb Indigenous clothing, jewellery & ceremonial items from Taiwan. Friendly, helpful staff.

The Ketagalan Culture center introduces the various Pingpu indigenous tribes of Taiwan, including the now extinct northern Taiwan Ketagalan tribe. In addition to the exhibit areas, the center has an art gallery, spacious international conference room, and classroom areas serving various functions.

The museum was lovely and it has three floors to wander around it has a lot of history about the tribes around Taiwan. There are lots of readings there’s lots of artifacts from the tribes and local costumes and artifacts. It was free to enter

This place was such a pleasant surprise! I wasn't planning to visit at all, but decided to drop by since admission is free and the hot spring museum (which I really wanted to see) is closed.

I ended up learning SO much here about the indigenous communities of Taiwan - their history, rituals, and varied cultures. It's evident that a lot of effort went into making the exhibition an informative and objective one. I would say this is definitely a must-visit if you are in Beitou.

However, do note that not all of the wall texts are translated into English. You'll definitely have a more fruitful experience here if you can read traditional Chinese, or have a guide with you.

A well organized layout and decoration for this museum here to express the history of aboriginal tribes in Taiwan. You can tell all the features of each tribe in every location. We are all immigrants from Mainland China in Taiwan. All introduction for tribes are in details. All information are useful and educational for parents and kids. A very good place for kids and friends to refresh the culture itself. Enjoy it.

Good place to slot into your Beitou district itinerary.

You can spend about 30 mins to quickly see and learn about Taiwan's indigenous tribes. I didn't have time in my schedule to go to larger centers in Taiwan to learn about them so this worked out very well.

$0，一些原住民相關作品相當美麗，攝影、繪畫、編織等，各有特色，雖然數量不多，路過還是可以花個1小時進來看看。

常設展可以了解原民文化和原運的歷史，當時特別去觀賞琉璃珠的展覽，介紹詳盡，感受到台灣這塊島嶼與民族藝術能量，

B1的原住民族正名的展廳稍微昏暗，比較可惜，但內容很有意義。

為了課程的期末報告而來這邊參訪，但我覺得這地方有驚艷到我~
雖然來訪的時候只有開放1~3樓，展出主題不多、展場也不大，但是導覽的西拉雅族伯伯非常有熱忱的幫我和其他遊客介紹，也科普了一些額外的小知識，來一趟真的受益良多~

來這原民博物觀讓我參觀到原民的傳統服飾！！很棒的參觀又是免費入場不收門票！！
