Turasan

Among the better Turkish wineries, though I am certainly a novice when it comes to Turkish wine culture. If you're staying in the Cappadocia region, it is well-worth your time to seek out this tasting cave/wine shop. In a more upscale area of beautiful Urgup, the winery offers a paid tasting of 6 wines for 150 TL, around $6. All of them had merit, and you can opt to enjoy a full glass on their patio. It is slightly touristy as far as the shop and service goes, but the wines are solid.

Really tasty and quality wines for a reasonable price. My favourite wine from here as of July 2022 was around 120TL, a Merlot was around 180TL if i remembered correctly. They do not have free wine tasting, but rather you would have you pay 50TL for 3 small glasses of around 80ml each. I requested for 4 and they charge 15TL for the extra which was good practise. However, I would still give 5 stars as the price performance of their wines are great compared to other cappadocia wineries, also the prices of their wines are displayed transparently so I guess they are not charging a much higher price for tourists. I have noticed that happening in another famous winery in cappadocia although i won’t mention its name.

It is the oldest winery in Cappadocia. We did the tasting and bought two of our favorite wines. They had a very delicious hot wine, which I even went 2 times to buy. We could not make the tour through the winery as it was November and the fermentation time. I highly recommend getting some wine from here before leaving Cappadocia.

Best Cappadocian red wine. We tried Seneler Öküzgözü & Boğazkere first at a restaurant so we went to the winery and got 2 bottles for 90 TL each. Normally red wine turns my cheeks red and sometimes I have a slight headache, this is the only red wine that doesn't do so. Perfect flavours and great quality. Highly recommended!

It was definitely a disappointment for us. We went there with a foreign guest to taste wine, get information about Turkish wine and buy some bottles of wine. The first disappointment was that wine tasting was closed. Even if it wasn’t we would have to pay for 100 liras for only two tastings. The second one wast that the guys couldn’t really answer the questions our guest asked about wine. I really recommend the owners of Turasan to put some knowledgeable people there not just to sell but also inform people about it. In the end, we bought 4 bottles of wine without really knowing about it just to try. It is not a good impression for our country and wine industry.

Variety and selection of wines been topped off with reach history of this town made this trip very unforgettable for us.

Had a tasting session in the wine cellar. 3 reds and 3 whites. But early at 11am but fun!! Ended up buying 12 bottles in the shop!!

You can taste wine before you buy. Various kind of wine here . Also grape juice , grape seed oil , dried nuts and fruits to... Sometimes Very crowded but area has enough space and worth of wait .. Taste wine and decide to buy which you want . Also gift , sticker , wine equipments. Most known winehouse in this area , local grapes and different types of grapes ....

The experience at the shop was very pleasant. I came in with an idea of the bottle I was looking for, so choosing was easy - they only have one type of white wine made from local species, called Emir and priced 165TL. Cezer was very efficient helping me find it.
Prices are fair, starting from 110 TL if I'm not mistaken - probably another reason why locals recommend it.

Wine!

Cappadocian winery showcasing some very good wines indeed from regional, national and international varietals. Settled on two excellent, complex whites especially from the Narince and Emir grapes - sharing some traits with Chardonnay and Sau Blanc respectively but with their own character and more floral bouquets. Knowledgeable and friendly staff on hand to guide you. Absolutely worth the journey if you're even slightly interested in wine.

Best wine store of Urgup.

They charge for the 3 glass wine tasting, but it will be catered to your tastes and at a lovely table in the cellar bar. A worthwhile little respite from trekking around outside in the area.

One of a the oldest and well respected wineries in Turkey. The tour and wine tasting were very nice, the wines were very reasonably priced even the award winning red wines. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys wine to visit this place before leaving Capadoccia

Wines are amazing, staff is helpful. I recommend their award winning red wine, anytime I visit Cappadocia I definitely stop by for buying as much as possible.

staff was nice to offer 2-3 samples of red wine after some conversation, standard selection of redwines - cabernet savignon, merlot, syrah and some other specialties

Nice quality wine, tried white and rosé ,both were fine. The good thing is you get to taste it, but the tasting is quite mean I'd say.

İmpressive Turkish winery since 1944. They have a selection of older wines in the cellar if you ask.

Such a good place for wine in goreme
