Your typical Turkish cuisine in a traditional setting. Lovely staff and hearty food. The beyti kebab is yummy, and the chicken shish well marinated. When in Avanos, especially when visiting from Goreme etc, do give it a go, it’s more local than the other joints and thus super cheap too! Grab an ayran with mint with your meal and wash it down with black tea afterwards.

We were driving around Avanos and decided to give this a try after reading the positive reviews on Google.
Great food, there are ample seating indoor and the food are reasonably priced.
Great atmosphere and its comfortable dining there. Although the staff do not speak much English, we managed to order our food without much difficulties as there are pictures on their menu.
There are parking right outside their restaurant and it's very convenient.

If you plan to travel Goreme, i recommend to visit this restaurant since it’s big portions and reasonable price. Very tasty.

Nice food for good money. Also liked the service - people were nice and helpful. Stuff speaks English, Russian, Turkish. A lot of free side dishes and tea.There are some vegetarian dishes - 2 kinds of casserole, soup, salads.

Kebab was good. Pita was good and they had a desert as well. Tea is included in the price.... I recomand you eat here but please note they have a lot of Flys... it's commun thing I saw in this part of the reagion and it doesn't bother people. It didn't bothered me.

Food is delicious. The portions are quite big, the salad is fresh and the desert is good.

When you travel to Turkey, make sure you eat at the local restaurants that offer authentic Turkish food rather than the international food chains!

Ocakbasi Urfa Sofrasi, est. 1991, Cappadocia, is well known for serving Ocakbasi or Grilled, Lahmacun or Pizza & Kunefe or Kunafa, a sweet dish of Middle Eastern origin.

Our tour included the lunch & we were served
• Baslangic or Starter (A variety of fresh salads & condiments)
• Kiremitte Mantar or Stoneware Baked Mushrooms. (Seasoned & sauted mushrooms topped with cheese, baked in a claypot in a stone tandoor)👌🏻😋 This is an absolute must try 👍🏻👍🏻 I'm drooling even while describing it 🤤🤤
• Tavuk Sis or Grilled Chicken Shish Kebab (Succulent pieces of chicken grilled to perfection, served with a side of Bulgur, pickled onions & charred green chillies) Charred green chillies are hubby's new found love after eating in Turkey 😜😜
• Tatlihar or Desserts included
Sutlaç or Turkish Rice Pudding, which was totally gobbled by #mylilmissy
Kunefe or Kunafa (This was by far the best Kunafa we'd ever tasted, perfectly balance of sweet & savoury 👌🏻👍🏻😋😘)

- Good value for money: delicious food at a reasonable (unlike Göreme where all is expensive and taste the same).

- The staff is attentive, professional and friendly.

Great place for Turkish food. We ordered Lamacun, Urfa Kebab and Lamb chops. All were great and well prepared. The side dishes were also really good.
Staff members were welcoming and courteous. Overall, a good experience.

The service! I would like specifically to thank the lady who helped us on the terrace level, she can predict what we need, although she does not speak much English, she always serves us exactly what we want! Food is great as well! Try the homemade aryan
