Zerdali Cafe & Restaurant

Very nice restaurant. Not expensive. It's pretty good and fast serving. Portions are big enough. One portion of pide and one of the cooked vegetables with cheese were more than enough for two of us. The ayran is also good. It's cozy and it makes your lunch or dinner or whatever being a good time spent there.

Recommended by a local person from museum. The dishes from the stone oven are super delicious!!!!!! And the staff is very nice, always gives me special dessert before I leave :)

We ordered a few things and everything tasted delicious! It's a local place and they prepare the meals fresh. It wasn't a long wait. They have a small grocery store inside that sells homemade jams, pasta, etc. They're reasonably priced.

Amazing food (the bread!) — amazing people running it! Loved everything we had and bought a ton in the adjacent market. A hidden gem and absolutely worth a stop on any trip to Cappadocia.

Was recommended to come here by our hotel. Was a bit skeptical at first as it's right next to a gas station. That said, we came here 2 days in a row. Definitely the best restaurant in Goreme. The bakery had a lovely selection of takeaway desserts and breads. 10/10 would definitely recommend to others.

We went for lunch. At the door we were caressed by the aroma of freshly baked bread. That was just the beginning of the gastric delights made fresh on site.
The facility is beside a busy road and not suggesting a "starched" atmosphere, Don't be put-off by its outward diner-like facade.
The local and traditional foods met or exceeded the aromatic tease we received upon entering.
Be sure to save some room for dessert! The sweets were just the right touch of sweetness. We shared three among us and the portions were generous. Our favorites were the rice pudding and lemon cake.
We were taken here by a local and it is one of the highlights of our trip.

Very clean and super tasty restaurant/bakery. Walking in, you are greeted by hospitality and the smell of fresh bread in the air. The menu is traditional Turkish with a few more international dishes. It's in English as well and some of the waiters speak English. The food is absolutely amazing, fresh and delicious. They will give you complimentary bread and small meze for free. The bread is fresh, soft and still hot and super delicious. The place isn't crowded but there are always people here, tourists and locals alike. Prices are average around here, definitely cheaper than eating in Göreme. If you're in Avanos, this is the place to eat at.

Loved the kayseri manti, stuffed bazlama, İçli köfte and the lamb/eggplant dish (can’t remember the name)

we ate the lentil soup (mercimek),pide and had a künefe for dessert. very delicious and very fresh, all their bread comes hot and steamy from the bakery that is in the same building. the waiter was kind, service is great and the food came quickly. I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Zerdali Cafe is located next to the gas station in Avanos and is a top notch restaurant. I have visited three times over the past few years and highly recommend it.

They are baking bread and pastries all day along with full meals. The wood fired stone oven is a fun experience to watch as the staff prepare the food to see the art of making the local food. We learned about some local dishes while we were deciding what to eat. They also make their own pasta. It really is a farm to table restaurant.

For brunch we enjoyed some local favorites. It is a great place to have any meal of the day.
Avanos is known for pottery, so if you are in the area, stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We bought some dried fruit for our Cappadocia road trip and hikes.

*It is NOT a tourist trap restaurant.
*Genuine people and excellent food and hospitality.

The food and service were really good! We ended up ordering kavurmalı bazlama and kayseri mantısı, both of which were very tasty. We were additionally served fresh brick oven bread and meze. Overall it is a place to take into consideration when looking for really good local food.
