Usually I don't write reviews, but for this one I have to!
I stayed in Sofa hotel 4 days / 3 nights at the beginning of November 2023. Everything was great! People are so kind and open to help with anything, also the owner speaks English. A lot of options for breakfast (was included). My room (Venessa) was clean, warm and beautiful! Everything worked in the room. Shower hot and clean. The hotel itself is just a museum! Decorations are wonderful. You can spend a few hours just to look around. It was hard to leave. I will definitely come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the stunning Sofa Hotel in the enchanting region of Cappadocia, and I can't help but share my overwhelmingly positive experience. From the moment we set foot inside the hotel, we were transported to a world of beauty and luxury that truly exceeded our expectations.

The sheer grandeur and charm of the Sofa Hotel is awe-inspiring. Exploring this magnificent property felt like embarking on a journey through an intricate maze of art and culture. In fact, I could have spent a good 4 to 5 hours simply discovering the exquisite details and unique features within the hotel itself. Every corner was a visual delight, and it was evident that a great deal of thought and care had been put into the design.

What truly sets the Sofa Hotel apart, however, is the impeccable service. The manager went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. They thoughtfully arranged our airport pickups and drops to and from Kayseri airport, making our travel seamless and stress-free.

The rooms were not just comfortable but also elegantly designed, providing a sense of serenity and relaxation after a day of exploring the breathtaking Cappadocian landscape. The hotel's blend of traditional and modern design elements created a unique and welcoming ambiance.

This was undeniably one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The Sofa Hotel offers an extraordinary blend of luxury, culture, and hospitality, and it's clear that the entire team takes immense pride in making their guests feel special. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable and luxurious stay in Cappadocia. A very beautiful property in avanos next to Goreme about 10 minutes drive. The family run property has very clean big rooms with all amenities and big bathrooms which are rare to find in Turkey. The Ambiance is from a movie set and takes you into a dream world. Very well decorated with beautiful pieces of art, history and local culture. The staff is very attentive and a big shout out to Murat at the front desk. He is just amazing and a big asset to the team. The breakfast also was always great with multiple choices and Murat made sure that it is always being replenished and all guest are taken care of. The decor is like you are in a different time zone giving you a good taste of the local history of Turkey. You can never go wrong with your stay at this family run hotel. Goreme is just more commercialized because of the hot air balloons etc . You can save a lot of money and have the best experience at Sofa hotel in Avanos.

Just the perfect stay. Very friendly staff, very neat and clean. The patio has an amazing view that you can relax and enjoy coffee or drink.
Breakfast with diffrent type of choice to choose from. I highly recommend Sofa Hotel.

Great location. Next to a museum, conviniance store, Turkish nights entertainment, taxi rank and lots of local shops and restaurants.
We took no time at all getting to any of our excursions or airport.
We stayed in a cave room. This was amazing. Naturally cool, which was great as I have issues with AC units.
There are no views as there are no windows.... It's a cave room pitch black once you turn the lights off.
Breakfast is included and is well organised. There is plenty of selection and choice.
Allowed us a late check out and held our bags while we went out on the last day. Decor is fantastic.

This is my go-to-hotel whenever I'm in Avanos, it has unique museum type hotel, their rooms are big and comfy, family friendly environment and best of all, their breakfast is diverse and taste amazing. Mr Erdiwg, checked me in two hours before the standard time. Totally recommended ☺

What an unbelievably beautiful and unique hotel! We've been told it's roughly 200 years old and is composed of 3 Greek-style village homes combined into one. It's run by a single family who is extremely nice and professional. This would be a perfect honeymoon spot.

We have been three weeks in Turkey and this was the best hotel that we have stayed.
The decoration of the hotel is so beautifully done, the room was super spacious,cozy and clean, the breakfast buffet was varied and very delicious and the staff is very sweet, accessible and thoughtful.

One of the greatest hotels I've stayed in. The staff is super friendly, they helped us to book balloon ride, showed and explained all the sites of the kapadokia in details. Rooms are clean and have a fascinating design. Would highly recommend!!!

We had a lovely stay! The hotel is quirky, lots of lovely little corners to sit and pieces of art to discover. Great views across capadoccia including the balloons if you’re up early enough. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE - lots of different homemade pastries that kept us going all day. We had some trouble with transfers from the airport but the hotel staff were really nice and helpful. Avanos itself is a great choice for Capadoccia, much less “touristy” than some neighbouring towns, has everything you need and a nice arty vibe. Would definitely stay again!

Our 2-nught stay at the Sofa Hotel was nothing short of delightful. Our hosts were very kind and accommodating on our arrival after a tricky journey, and throughout. The hotel is a maze of beautifully decorated nooks and crannies covered with turkish rugs. Our room was very clean, and had a fun and eclectic style. The Turkish breakfast was absolutely delicious, most of it made on the premises - a perfect was to start a day of hiking our touring! Avanos is much nicer than Goreme (which is too touristy) and full of pottery shops. Would stay here again!!

This small charming hotel impresses with its charm. The owner must have spent a lot of time collecting the numerous accessories that are everywhere. The rooms are cosy and very nostalgically furnished. The breakfast is rewarded in the morning with numerous specialties, which are freshly prepared. All in all, full marks. If I come to Avanos again I will try to get a room. Çok tesekkür ederim ve kolay gelsin.

Extremely kind staff and a beautifully and eclectically decorated space. Additionally, they had undoubtedly the best breakfast buffet I enjoyed in all my time in Turkey! I had so much fun staying here and it is definitely a stay I will not forget. Be sure to say hello to Tarçin the charming hotel dog!

Possibly the best inn/hotel we have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world! Every nook and cranny is full of wonderful antiques and art, and the rooms are posh, rustic and old-world all at once. It is three ol Greek homes connected with magical stairs and walks that you can explore, with balconies and porches to rest and relax. There is a stellar restaurant right next door with a river walk 3 minutes from the hotel plus if you walk up the street you will see historic faces on the walls and a charming viewpoint on the hillside above.

I loved staying here. Is such a lovely place. A cave hotel like a labyrinth. I felt I was on a movie set every day. I couldn't stop admiring the details, as is so beautifully decorated, like a museum and at a very safe and convenient location. I had everything I needed during my stay. Erdinc, the owner of the hotel is an amazing host, very welcoming and caring. I had such a great time.
My room was a (Turkish:) )delight, decorated so authentically with so many art pieces and and with the most comfortable bed; spacious room and they always cleaned it for me during my stay ( I kept extended as I loved it there:) )

Great hotel for a great price.
Stayed there for 2 nights

This stylish boutique hotel in Avanos is a real gem; it makes the travel in Cappadocia a real pleasure. Our intention was to stay around 3~4 days, yet when amazed with the beauty and comfort my group stayed for 8 days. We departed only to catch scheduled flights back to Frankfurt and San Francisco.
My spacious room was filled with collected vintage pieces in every corner: sofas, tables, chairs, carpets, wood and metal work, tea and coffee sets, etc. It took the entire stay to discover most of these elements.
The breakfast buffet included about hundred items representing local and Turkish cuisine. The meal is enjoyed in open-air court filled with flowers and green. Hotel staff is friendly and responsive. Communicating in English was not a challenge, as it was in other bigger hotel we used in Kayseri.

This boutique hotel located near the river of Avanos spoiled us with high standard services, spacious and clean rooms, pleasant music, traditional food, and traditional home decors. The owners’ attention to each detail is revealed by the harmony of the ottoman, Greek and Roman elements in the same place. Most importantly for us, the owners are incredibly friendly and we really felt like home. This hotel is not only a venue of comfort but it is meant to offer a valuable piece of Cappadocia’s heart.
On the other hand Avanos is conveniently located so to facilitate the access to the touristic attractions.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It has character, charm and is like living in a traditional Turkish home. So it may not have all the mod cons you might miss. Remember where you are. It has Wi-Fi, running got and cold water and flushing toilets. The rooms are decorated with traditional and sympathetic influence. They are also huge. You cannot move for rugs, chairs and tables. My room Kars has rustic wooden beams and a wooden post in the middle of the room. You'll fall in love with the charm of this place, of that I have no doubt. The courtyard is a great place to meet and have a drink from the bar and talk about the days adventures, it's also a lovely tranquil place for breakfast. As the sun comes up it catches the building in beautiful light. There is element of western europe too, you could be mistaken for being on a French or Italian villa courtyard. If you're ever staying in Cappadoccia over night or even longer, this hotel I guarantee will tick all of your boxes.
