Hotel Sliezsky Dom

We went ther after hiking from Stary Smokovec to get some food and drinks. We were not expecting a really beautiful place at this altitude but were stunned by the warm and modern interior design of this place. Also the food was super delicious. We got the Gnocchi with Bryndza and Potato dumplings with goat cheese, some beers and very needed shots of Hruskovica. Dog friendly! Will visit again.

We ate lunch at this beautiful Hotel. After a beautiful hike of 30 min from the Parking lot. High standards Hotel, Restaurant and delicious food.

Very high standard regardless if you are a climber or a family with kids. Considering the elevation, this is a luxury and that's not an overstatement. Yes, the approach is a bit dodgy - you either hike for couple of hours through the woods or take the hotel shuttle (incl. in accommodation price), but once you are there, the hotel has it all. Rooms are clean and tidy with slippers and bathrobes, wellness is super good enough with a wonderful view into the Velicka Valley and i recommend paying extra for the dinner (25€ p.p.). You won't be disappointed. If you are leaving the hotel early for a hike (before 7:30) make sure you inform the reception and they will prepare a breakfast pack for you. Now we have been there for hiking, next time we're coming back with kids.

Exceptional location, food & service. Everyone working here is very professional & kind - From the kombi-driver, to the receptionist, and the people in the restaraunt. Highly recommended :)

The service was fantastic, the views were amazing, the food and the Wine was delicious. The only problem was that the beds were not very comfortable. But I would certainly not let that change my rating.

Excellent hotel - amazing staff, wellness, food and service. What an amazing experience

For being where they are, the rooms where really nice and clean. Good beds, perhaps i was just very happy to be in one, but it felt like it was of good quality.

The spa area is not what you can expect at a big spa hotel, but what are you expecting, when not considering the two rooms on Lomnický štít, on one of the highest located full service hotells in Europe.

It is incredible to be in a very nice little pool, and then in few seconds see the views that the hotel provide.

Recommended if you are with your special someone, or if you feel like you need to go to the end of the world alone. Maybe by chance you will find your special one, perhaps too special, sitting in the pool next to you.

Have a wonderful trip anyway.

This hotel is located very high up with a panoramic view. There's even a small waterfall right by the entrance. The restaurant offers yummy breakfast and also the dinner buffet is amazing. Our room was a bit smaller than expected. Overall a very positive experience!

The hotel is situated at the entrance to a beautiful green valley with a couple of mountain lakes and surrounded by mountains.
The food was excellent with s wide selection of dishes for both breakfast and dinner.
In the lobby there is a selection of board games to play.
The rooms are a bit disappointing.
The stairs always crack.
The sofa kept wanting to open into a bed and the tv was tiny

One of the most unique hotels 🏨 in Slovakia 🇸🇰! Just next to the beautiful Velicke pleso! One in a lifetime experience to be accommodated so up high in the mountains 🏔 but yet feeling luxurious, spoiled and properly taken care of! Delicious food with amazing service as well! Wellness and spa with breathtaking view! If you are lucky enough for good sunny weather - you will leave with at least as many beautiful sceneries as we did! Would love to come back again - highly recommended ❤!

Amazing place in the middle of nature. It offers a great starting point for many hiking trips. The staff is really friendly and hardworking. We have been here in the winter and summer as well and we will definitely come back. The food was very tasty and wellness small, but pretty private, the massage was excellent 🙂 It is pricey, however, you can not compare 4* hotel with mountain cottages.

Tourist room is a bit crowded with 12 beds. There is a bathroom without window, the air conditioner is not working, so it smells moldy. The breakfast and dinner is all you can eat 'tourist bufet', but the dinner drink is paid. The staff is very nice and professional.

We didn't stay in a hotel, just had a soup during our hike. The restaurant is great. The staff was friendly, the waiter recommended us a liqueur and we weren't disappointed. We had delicious soup and a tap beer from Gerlach brewery. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic place with a stunning views up Velicka Valley with the tarn and waterfall right next to the hotel. The staff was really friendly and excellent. The hotel offers a great selection of services for all kinds of mountain activities both in summer and winter and offers the perfect starting point for climbing Gerlachovsky Stit, the highest mountain in Slovakia. There is also a nice spa, and the food in the hotel restaurant was also excellent. Highly recommended

The place is decent and comfortable. The tourist accommodation is also comfortable and offer somewhat premium options like lining or wellness usage (for extra charge of course). The food was excellent and the waitresses were kind. We go there this year too. :)

Very, very nice place. Great food with vegan options for dinner and breakfast.

In the middle of a hut to hut track we stayed in this luxurious hotel. This was wonderful.
The food was great and the staff was very helpful, and did our laundry in two hours.
The rooms are very nice, and very clean.

We visited it during a team-bulding event. Everything was very nice, I had nothing to complain about. The view was breathtaking.

Stayed there for one night. Nice view from our room, really deliciously and tasteful dinner buffet for 17€/ person. We also enjoyed the wellness area...
Breakfast we could get for take away because we already had to leave at 5.15 in the morning.

I've came to this hotel by walk through the Rohatka pass and Vychodna Vysoka, while my wife has came by car.
Overall we were fully happy of this hotel, really impressed and quite surprised to see such a top level hotel in the location where normally you can find only mount huts (I will never say mountain huts are not so great. not at all! but it's still impressive to see kind of SPA hotel here).

+SPA is very limited, but what you expect on this height in the location just under the highest peak of Tatry.
+Overall great hotel! this is not just usual mountain hut, but real multi-star hotel.
+the fact it's possible to get here by your own car (despite permit is quite expensive)
+wi-fi was even kind of enough for work (not perfect but video calls were almost uninterrupted, while after switching off the video it's kind of ok).

- Very expensive. You spends ~0.5k$ ! for 2 persons for 2 night stay here (room + dinner + parking + 1 beer... ) :(
- Spa is quite limited (this is not an issue at all, however you shouldn't go here specifically to stay in SPA resort :) )

Overall summary - great hotel in absolutely amazing location for quite a huge price.
