Pizzeria La Montanara

I have been coming to La Montanara for over a decade! It is my go-to spot in Starý Smokovec. The food is just amazing. I've tried many of the pastas and pizzas - no complaints to be had. The service is quick, the prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of seating indoors. If you are on the hunt for cheap (yet delicious) eats in the Tatras, look no further.

This is the go-to spot for locals. The restaurant offers an outstanding price-performance ratio, serving the best pizzas in High Tatras with fast service. The staff is polite and consistently helpful. Families, especially boys, appreciate the collection of Ferrari models and Formula 1 pictures. Despite the old building, the atmosphere inside is fantastic.

I know this place for about 10 years. Never had a problem with anything, the food was good everytime. Staff were down to earth and the location of the restaurant is pretty close to the city centre. Very good place to eat ❤

Good place! Food was tasty (esp risotto, but pizza as well good, maybe a bit too much cheese), Staff very friendly. Prices are fair, for High Tatras even low. Recommended :)

Can only sound what other reviewers told - quick service, good pizzas, not expensive and the lady serving us was very kind. Try to look inside for the photos and small car collection - if you like such things. We took 2 pizzas with soft drinks for 2 adults and 2 kids, was enough and all were satisfied. Would reccomend. Total price - around 26 eur (around 8 eur per pizza).

Italian restaurant with great menu selection, tasty wood fired pizzas, pleasant service. View towards Poprad from balcony and also from most inside tables. Prices just 40% higher than home, not 120% like the first venue we checked out.

Good pizza with fair prices. A beer costs 2€.

Very tasty pizza, great limonade. All we needed after hard hike. Modest, simple place but we are probably not spoiled :)

Very good alternative to local "kolyba's" with traditional slovak food. Quite atmosphere, quick service and nice waiters.
