Spitz restaurant and bar

Based on my sis recommendation that this place has the best fried cheese in the area (my fav food) we've decided to visit his spot. When we've arrived, we've found out that they have a special event celebrating ski/golf season in the Tatras and its closed for a public at this time . Even though it was all prepared for the guest to come when we've arrived we were greeted very warmly by on of the famous Slovak skier, Adam Zampa (who seems to also own the place). He was incredibly welcoming and after having a quick chat he made sure we were able to sit down and dig into some amazing food. Honestly, the place is just wonderful - the food and service are top-notch. I had the best fried cheese and pirohy e in the Tatras on my recent trip. I'm already excited to go back! Thank you again :)

Restaurant looks good from outside and inside too, it's well designed. Staff was helpful, kind and of course speak english.
The food was very tasty, our favourites are the soup, yellow curry and hamburger.
This is perfect restaurant to eat a delicious food in the best quality.
Next time we'll visit again.

A very good place to drink and eat. Spitz is a lovely bar and restaurant with a nice variety of local, national and international dishes. The food is prepared well, served in a pretty presentation and made with good ingredients. They have a very good wine list and enjoyable cocktails, including cocktails with local mountain ingredients. The staff is incredibly friendly and some also speak English. The building is decorated in an elegant, modern winter sport style and has a large terrace. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting this part of the Tatar mountain range. We had lunch and immediately made a reservation for dinner too.

This is the best place to be in Slovakia. You can order the most delicious fried cheese but also eat something more special and fancy like steak and risotto. Great atmosphere. I’m coming back there every time I’m in the mountain.

Really cozy place, nice atmosphere, great food and drinks, everything was perfect. I tried 4 different meals from all the family members and all the meals were top! One of the best options in High Tatras ❤

For appetizer, I had the marinated beets. It was excellent, the only thing I would change is to amplify the taste a little. The baked pork ribs with chili-coriander sauce, however, was OUT... OF THIS... WORLD... I actually went back another day to have it once more. The flavors were crafted more masterfully and created a truly great composition. The same can be said about the mango salad, that was fantastic as well. Plus there was live music both times I went. Best restaurant in Stary Smokovec without any doubt.

We went there for coffee and dessert, even though the place was full the service was fast and professional.

Well prepared and tasty food. Avocado was a bit small in portion, but fries with my burger did the trick for my gf :-) Nice interior, I have been here many times during last 15 years and they keep improving. Sevice is professional and helpful. Prices are a bit higher.

Absolutely wonderfull place, i had time of my life here with my girlfriend we came and had a perfect starter for begining and the best thing it's they have great vegetarian food for her and for me great variety of meat choices. The best thing was the absolutelly great options of wine, we have had fallen in love with this place. Sugesting 1000%. Last but not least i really want to give credit for the stuff they were absolutelly profesionals.☺😍

Quick and polite waiters, great food, good vibes,… only negative experience is paid parking place (2 Eur per hour)

Tasty cuisine, traditional Slovak and also international ☺ We had legendary Slovak meal "Halušky" with sheep cheese and fried bacon and also burger with medium prepared beef and crunchy fries👍🏻

We came here for breakfast with family and I ordered bread with guacamole and poached egg. The food and the coffee were great. We enjoyed it in the exterior of the restaurant, which is both stylish and cozy. Due to the fact that the restaurant is situated in the popular and rush location, prices were acceptable. The staff were also really kind and helpful.

Spitz has become a place I just always have to visit while I am in Stary Smokovec. I first visited in 2020 and the place was fantastic - well lit lights creating a good atmosphere, awesome customer service and a quick chat with one of the known owners, Adam Žampa. The food is very tasty and you also have a good choice to choose from but from experience I wouldn’t miss on the homemade pancakes :). Since 2020 we visited in 2021 and also at the start of 2022 when we found out the inside of Spitz was being renovated - later on we came back again in July. The place looked incredible - new bar, new drinks, new feel…Spitz has a welcoming vibe, very well made food and a great atmosphere, service and outside and inside sitting area. Can’t recommend a better restaurant in Stary Smokovec.

The food is delicious, very nice atmosphere, nice staff and good location. We returned the next day for an other round of tartare, I think it sums it up!
