Restaurante "C Bistrô"

After spending 5 days in S. Miguel and 1 in Pico, we found this place on the 7th day and I must say it was the best restaurant so far. We did not shy away from "recommended" places so C Bistrô really amazed us. Trully unexpected because it is not very advertised but omg the food was amazing. Definitely don't miss it if you're going through São Roque. Frendly staff, tasty food and with a unique presentation. You won't regret it!

Came here once by accident, returned twice by choice. Amazing restaurant with incredible food and very kind and professional staff :) Relaxed vibes and a wholesome approach to service. Fresh dishes of the day with a mix of Portuguese cuisine with a modern (and very tasty) touch but also some classics. Can only recommend!

A must! We even met the sous chef and his mom who prepared the most amazing dinner - we had the Oriental Pasta and the Fish of the day. The restaurant looks lovely, portions were very generous, service was great and the food delicious. We'll definitely be back!

It really is a hidden gem. Delicious pasta with shrimps, homemade fish fingers and great service. In addition portions are big. :)

Edit: We visited the restaurant three times and tried chocolate mousse the last time (waiter was a good salesman), but it really is a must try. Something special!

We had an absolutely phenomenal dinner at “C Bistro”. The entire staff was so friendly. Joel (I know I am not spelling this correctly, sorry) was wonderful. He spent a lot of time speaking with us and explaining the island. We had olives, the sautéed vegetables (amazing) and the ribs. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. We highly recommend and hope to visit again before we leave.

A little slice of heaven — the food and service were top notch and you can’t beat the lovely courtyard!

I loved the vibes of this place. You will need to bring some time for this place, but you will be rewarded with a paradise of quiet and calm. The food was good. Freshly cooked. Some things were not available from the menu, but I guess that is a good sign as everything is very fresh. They made up something for the picky eaters (our kids), which they ate with pleasure. I would repeat!

1) Fresh, delicious food. 2) Friendly waiter with a sense of humor. 3) Enjoying the spring sun on the secluded patio. We tried the day special and basically licked the plate.

The homemade mint lemonade and grilled fish (saw them grill it from the table) were absolutely exquisite. Simple and delicious. Truly recommend.

We had a superb lunch here! Everything we enjoyed was really tasty! It’s a beautiful place with a lovely terrace, which I come to realize is very rare in the Azores. The service was perfect, the waiter so nice, explaining how all dishes are cooked. We really loved everything here.

Very intimate atmosphere in a beautiful outdoors. Few dishes based on fresh supplies only, the quality of the ingredients is high. Staff was more than friendly and welcoming, we were advised really well about the typical wines and how those are made. Loved it!

It was definitely the best meal we’ve had during our stay in the Azores! It was so good we came back 3 times.
Everything was super fresh, local and seasoned to perfection. We’ve had fried limpets which were a real discovery and definitely the best seafood we’ve ever had.
Everything was accompanied by wonderful local wine and amazing service - shoutout to Rafael who was the best waiter one can dream of. :)

Absolutely lovely place, with great value for money lunch menu! We enjoyed the soup, omelette and the fish of the day. It was absolutely perfect. The olives were the best treat of them all, we highly recommend them. The service was very authentic, at times a bit slow, but nothing bad. We were on vacation with no rush and enjoyed the location and good weather.

They opened the restaurant at 22:00 just for us. They made us feel welcomed, refreshed, refueled and happy after a severely delayed flight. Such warm service, and great homemade food.

Note: There is no obvious street sign, but you have to use Google to get there and then go through the opening to the right side of the lava rock wall. Only a piece of paper printed with an arrow toward the entrance to mark the location. The daily special of pureed vegeatable soup and seafood quiche with green salad was excellent. Portions were very generous. House white wine by the glass was nice. Relaxing setting outside has high walls so no view, but provided nice protection from the gusty winds. Indoor seating available. Server was very helpful and food came out quickly.

A real gem of a find in a location not known for culinary excellence.
Chef and owner are obviously keen to provide an outstanding experience and have succeeded. Wil return!

Very nice place in Sao Roque to eat and drink a fresh lemonade (the best I tried in Pico Island).

No written menu, the waiter give you all the information about the dishes of the day which change every day based on availability.

The restaurant has a nice location inside a courtyard; you can eat during tomato harvesting with a little cat playing around you

This is a hidden gem!! Rita and her son Raphael made us feel at home and then served us food that was made with love. Each night Rita thinks about what she will cook the next day and cooks with passion. It was one of our top two meals in all of the Azores. Don’t miss this amazing place.

We had a long bike ride from Madalena to this place and we have to say : it was a relief ! The food was excellent, the white wine delicious and Rafael our host absolutely amazing : very kind, knowledgeable about local food and wine and passionate about Pico.
