Phillipa was an outstanding guide. An ethical whale watching group with excellent staff. We were extraordinarily fortunate to see a large group of sperm whales, pilot whales, Rizzo’s white dolphins, and bottlenose dolphins - wow!

Unfortunately we caught a day to do a whale watching tour, on which it was pouring rain and the overall weather conditions weren't ideal. Nevertheless Espaço Talassa offered every client to rebook, get refunded the entire amount or to still join the tour. We chose the refund option and to try it another time. Customer service at its best to offer a full refund! Thank you again for your flexibility

We had booked a half-day whale watching tour on a Zodiac boat. The staff are super friendly, competent and make the trip to an unforgettable experience. Lynn, our guide, took very good care of everyone and told a lot of interesting facts about the animals and nature conservation. We saw sperm whales, different species of dolphins, a moon fish and a sea turtle. Espaço Talassa is absolutely recommendable! Many thanks to Lynn for the great experience and the nice support!

We have been coming to Pico Island for 15 years now and every time we have chosen Espaço Talassa to go whale and dolphin watching. They are the experts in this field! I can definitely recommend Espaco Talassa! We went on 2 trips with them and it was amazing. They are well educated, take the time to share their knowledge and have respect for wildlife. I really appreciated their informative talk before we got on the boats and their free lectures in the evenings about the various animals that live here. They had a small gift shop and always ended the tour with a summary of which animals we saw and a cute certificate with which animals we saw!

We had a nice boat ride and saw a lot of dolphins, sadly enough no whales on our trip but that's nature!

We booked a half day whale watching tour and loved it. We were lucky and saw some whales and dolphins. Our guide Lynn does her job with the greatest passion and answers every question very competently. Since a lot of people had booked the tour at the same time, the boats were divided according to language, which meant that we were on a German-speaking boat, which was an advantage for the tour despite good knowledge of English. The boats were small and only had two rows, which made spotting the animals much easier. We particularly liked the focus on sustainability. This was particularly evident in the early abandonment of the animals as soon as the guides realized that they were feeling stressed or being watched. All in all, the tour was the highlight of our vacation in the Azores.

I want to say great thanks to the team -- for their enthusiasm, professionalism and openness to share it with people.

We were very lucky to see a bunch of different species, but I am more than sure it is not the only important thing :)

Absolutely wonderful! Even on a rainy windy day we say 3 species of dolphins and Pilot Whales, it was incredible. The guide was fantastic-friendly and informative. They are protective and considerate of the animals. We would love to go again!

Dedicated people who make this company worth the choice. Professional Whale watching that supports science without getting to invasive for animals (no swimming with dolphins here ). they are mindful of their passagiers. Thanks Lynn and Jaõa. Also thanks to the lady who managed the morning office on Mo, tue, Thu for helping us with our wishes. The birdwatching by Olivier was fun and very informative. He is a real birding data pioner who helped us with info for other islands. The horse riding at Isaacs Turispico was a wonderful way to explore the far east tip of Pico. Espaço Talassa offers the platform to find your way around Pico in a way that is appreciative of its nature and people.

I took my wife and daughter to see whales and dolphins. This was my second time. They were very very professional. We got lucky that day and saw a whale breach. Let alone a whale shark right by our boat for about 15 minutes or so. Maria was very informative and spoke very well . Her partner driving the boat ( forgot his name) did a great job as well. One thing they did not look at the clock. We were out for over 3 hours.
They care about the environment and the area. I would not book with anyone else.

We had a great experience with the team! Besides observing dolphins, whale (the back:) and turtle it was a pleasure to see how people are passionate about the job they do! Incredible experience. These people are true pros. Pedro and Lynn were amazing guides, and the philosophy of this place is admirable. We saw 3 species of dolphins, pilot whales, and a mother and calf Sei Whale. Don't hesitate, book a trip with Espaço Talassa when you come to Pico!

Amazing ! The staff is very competent and respectful of cetaceans and the environment (well... to the maximum that such an activity can do). They explain well, take the time to answer questions and strive to find cetaceans or dolphins. It was very nice especially the drink at the end which is always a pleasure.

Yesterday, September 4, 2020, I went with my boyfriend to have a dream experience. Even though the weather conditions didn't seem ideal at first, we headed for the sea (although the staff gave us the option to reschedule for another day) and we couldn't have decided better. From the constant attention of the watchmen to the friendliness of the staff that accompanied us, everything was wonderful. The weather improved a lot and the sun came out, which made everything even more fantastic. We were able to see several species of dolphins and whales. One of the very positive points was having a guide so interested, friendly and ready to answer any questions, with good disposition and a huge taste for his profession and above all, for marine life.
Even with dozens of companies doing this tour service, we left with the certainty that we chose the best one. Because they offer us not just a simple walk, but a lot of knowledge and an experience to repeat.

We went to an exceptional evening/sunset tour and had such an unforgettable experience! Besides the fact that we have been really lucky with the animals we saw and the weather condition, the skipper and biologist were really nice and passionate. It was a pleasure being on the boat with Ines + Aitor :)

Absolutely amazing. We got to see two species of whales and one species of dolphins.
We were very impressed with how nice our crew, Susana and Joao were. They really put an effort into getting us as close as possible and see as many whales and dolphins as we could. Susana was like an encyclopedia on marine wildlife, and gave us so much information and fun facts, she could answer any question with lots of facts, including history, biology and human interaction with the animals, in multiple languages with great English.
We were blown away by how welcoming and hospitable they were.
This is definitely something I highly recommend people do. We couldn't be happier we ended up with this company.
