L'Orange

Came across this quaint and petite restaurant by chance and so happy I did! small and elegant with courteous staff. Jan (owner and chef) came out to greet us and ask about our culinary experience, which I must say was excellent. Very reasonably priced.

The best meal I had in the Algarve. Fresh ingredients artfully cooked. Generous portions. Lovely hosts.

Nice traditional restaurant with good quality traditional dishes. Service is friendly and the chef / owner take great attention to ensure everything perfect. Well worth a visit. Good kid options.

We ate here last night and the food and service were both really excellent. Having eaten here just under 3 years ago when the UK temporarily took Portugal off the red list, we were very keen to return.

Our experiences echoed those of 3 years ago; excellent service with very friendly and helpful waitresses, delicious starters (including fresh mozzarella salad, scallops and black pudding, and prawn with avocado) and wonderful main courses (chicken with rice, prawns, duck with potato and child’s pasta with chicken).

Great wine list, delightful digestif and very well priced. I would heartily recommend this restaurant and if we are back in the area - from the UK - in future years, we will return!

This restaurant is outside the hustle and bustle of Carvoeiro. That was fine for us, because within walking distance of our apartment in Hello Villas. We even went there twice during our holiday in Carvoeiro of 10 days. Limited menu but with a few delicious dishes, the spicy curry for example. And we lucked out with some very tasty off-the-card specials. Friendly staff, multilingual. After the meal a port or liqueur on the house. It is wise to make a reservation and this can easily be done by e-mail.

We loved our dinner. Really very nice. Friendly and personal service too, accommodating my allergy. My husband says their chocolate mousse is the best, and he's tried many!

We were staying at Hello Villas and L'Orange is a very short walk from there. It was early April and we didn't have a reservation but there was room for us. The service staff were excellent, the food and wine were very good and the value for money was spot on. The restaurant was only open 5 nights a week during our stay, but that may increase during the summer season?

Three visits in the past two weeks …three great experiences…food wonderful each time and staff so warm and welcoming. Well done all.

We came with a large group. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The outdoor area was comfortable. The food was good. A good selection for different tastes.
