Hotel Algarve Casino

Spent 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are a step back in time, so if you want modern boutique forget this place. If you want stylish classic then go ahead and book. Staff are wonderful and will bend over backwards to help you. Nuno on reception was so welcoming.
The views are to die for, and worth spending extra for a Seaview to experience the beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
Would we return again? Definitely

Great hotel, very comfortable and spacious room, with everything available within the hotel. We spend most of our days in the hotel facilities, the swimming pools are with salted water and spacious. The restaurant offers delicious food throughout the day. Everything is affordable in and outside of the hotel. Within 5 minutes walk, you can schedule your day trips, go to hairdressers, supermarket or pharmacy. The Spa in the hotel offers amazing service. I would highly recommend it for all ages.

Fantastic staff. Very helpful and friendly. Located on the beach!!! Easy access plus a fantastic salt water pool. The hotel was built in a different era, but has been well maintained.

Beds were comfortable but 2 single beds pushed together double bed be better no other complaints stunning hotel friendly staff clean pool area walk dwn steps to beach bars and beach. Laura the parrot 🦜 says hello as you get your towels for pool. Casino next door is very strict I took my phone ou to check for missed calls and security ran over gave me a freight I though I done something wrong !! He said did u take a photo of machine 😳 I said ehh no why would I he said put phone away not allowed 🚫 bit stupid I didn't see any signs about no phones !!

A couple days in the Algarve region, beautiful area, beach. The hotel was fine. Unfortunately I did not have much time to enjoy the amenities.

Very pleasant experience. we accidentally walked in from the street wanting a change to the hotel next door. Ok, maybe it's not really worthy of 5 stars, but super location, beautiful well-kept outdoor area, warm and clean swimming pool, amazing sea view. I can't say about the other rooms, but 601 exceeded our family's expectations. Thanks for the upgrade to suite, of course :)

My family has absolutely loved our time at this hotel. We have yet to find one thing that we didn’t enjoy (though it did say they have onsite laundry but they don’t) or would actually complain about. Reception has always been professional and kind, and very helpful when needed. They all speak English and Portuguese which has made things very easy. The rooms are large (though twin beds pushed together isn’t a King bed in my personal opinion..) and we loved being able to open the door between our rooms and be attached. The room are exceptionally clean and the bathrooms as well. They have a mini fridge with some items in it, but there is a little space for you to put some things in there as well. Housekeeping has been great.
Breakfast every morning is an event to my children 😂. It has so many options they barely sit to eat and just want to keep going back for something else. This is the free, included breakfast just for staying. It’s open until 10:30, so you have enough time to get there before they close up.
They have another restaurant next to the large pool outside. We used it primarily for coke, juice and ice cream but everyone there was always polite and easy to work with.
The pool is salt water, and very clean. Can’t use any toys in the adult pool but they do half an 18in deep kiddie pool you can have toys in. Water is a bit chilly but you get used to it (we visited early June so I’m sure it warms up in the summer).
Beach access is a major plus with steps and a boardwalk that goes straight to the beach. It closes around 8 so head back by then or you’ll have to walk to the main entry to the beach to get back to the hotel (only a few blocks, no biggie).
The location is stellar. Very chill road with little traffic, tons of food, and shops for souvenirs.
Parking is in an indoor garage the next street over (3ish blocks). Had to search for it but it always has a guard and it’s free, so a good deal. Just drop off your bags and family then go park. Depending on what you want to do you may not need your car much.
We never visited the Casino, so don’t have anything to say there.
We loved our stay and will use this location again for our next trip to So Portugal. Great staff, great location, great rooms, great amenities, great everything!

Gorgeous, loved it , clean. Just à but fàr from the airport but the beauty of the place is worth it 👌

This is a wonderful hotel. We've stayed here a dozen times over the last few years. Staff are very friendly and many of them have been with the hotel and years. They do a lovely buffet breakfast with a massive selection of foods.

I don't find the bar expensive especially for a 5 star hotel. The hotel itself does some great deals at off peak times.

I'm delighted to say that there have been some small changes. The main one for me is the new large screen TV in the room. It came in handy this stay as the weather wasn't very good.

I would love to see a coffee machine in the room or even a kettle so we can make coffee. WiFi is problematic in the room 527. Signal comes & goes. Streaming channels keep buffering and no Wi-Fi on the balcony
Edit:staying in room 221 & again wi-fi is terrible. We struggled to get netflix to play.
Wi-Fi needs updating for certain.

Very good hotel to stay for a short break. Staff from the reception all the way to room service are all very friendly and welcoming. Especially, Victor, George, and Claudia were very good. Keep up the good work and thanks for the kind hospitality. We felt very comfortable during our stay at Hotel Algarve. Would definitely recommend anytime

Congratulations to the cleaners 👏👏 fresh rooms .. and at the end of 3 days they changed the bed sheets ... I felt very welcome in this hotel! 1st day breakfast was nothing special ..the bread has dry .
I opted for fresh fruit and yogurt..but the rest of the days were good and fresh and with more variety. Staff at the restaurant and bar 5 ☆ only one lady who worked at the reception on Thursday morning was not in a very good mood..but otherwise I recommend this hotel🌏✈

Just back after another stay in this wonderful hotel. Everything was first class . Very helpful staff, a fabulous breakfast , beautiful spotlessly clean rooms . Magnificent location . Will be back again next year .

The location is perfect in this period: a warm spring with fresh evenings.
The view from the room and the balcony are fantastic.
An excellent relation quality-price, that solve out any discussion about the hotel stars.
A wonderful swimming pole.
Maybe you will pay some services more than in other parts of Portugal or outside the hotel but this is because of the comfort.

Breakfast and food is where the hotel could work a little, but still it was all fine.
The coffee was OK.
I would have liked more Portuguese bakery specialties.

The employees were so nice and available.

The only thing was that children were in the adult pool when they have an empty children’s pool. Plus a tiny spa indoor pool for a five star hotel?Really clean and multi linguistic staff. We had a terrace room.

Great hotel with Spa and Casino, adjacent the beach and a short walk to the Town Centre.The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well appointed with large double beds.2 Main Lifts + 1 Service Lifts in handy position opposite reception. NO coffee making facilities in the room, you have to ask at reception for the kettle etc.Pool area very clean, with plenty of sun beds and a good pool service for drinks and food.Casino is mainly slots on the ground floor and Roulette, Black Jack and Poker tables to the lower ground floor....ID required for entry into the casino ie ,Driving Licence or Passport.
Staff very friendly and helpful.....pool staff great and clean pool towels available every day.Beach access is easy via steps down onto the board walk...No easy access to beach from hotel for wheelchairs(worth checking before booking)....Tour operator booths located just outside hotel for day trips if you fancy a last minute trip.Nice little cafe opposite hotel for a coffee /drink/food....if you fancy just people watching.

Had a great vacation in a sea view room, the hotel is very attended and clean, location is perfect, the service was excellent, old establishment but well kept

Awesome for the kids - the shows are really cool. Best thing to do is do a show walk around go on the rides and then back to a show. Make sure to visit the dolphins

Located next to the beach. Great swimmingpool for adults, smaller one for the little ones. Enough sunbeds to lay and enjoy sun/ the view... even on beach.

We booked a double twin vista terra (land side) with breakfast. The beds are great, as is bathroom.

Forgotten your shampoo, knitting gear, shoe polish or body milk; no worries, it's all there

Room was perfect, but we wanted an upgrade coz there was no balcony (smoking;-).
All balconies are at 'vista mar', sea side.
Coz of low season this was no problem, we got a family room with four beds, two bedrooms and balcony (with a snoring partner the best option;-)

Breakfast is mostly the same everyday, but more than enough choices; from salmon to cheese, different kind of bread, croissants, fruit juices, fruit.. even wine and bubbles.
You can ask the friendly and helpful staff an omelet, scrambled eggs, espresso, capuchino or whatever.

The staff really takes care of you (housekeeping/bartenders/ lobby), they enjoy and seem to love their work so you can have a most convenient stay.

A great ☆☆☆☆☆ hotel, but no posh. You can be yourself, relax and enjoy your holidays
