Adega "A Buraca"

A super nice lady runs this place. We have gone twice now and had a great experience both times. They have a good selection of brandy (moonshine) and liqueur and good prices for bottles of all sizes to bring home as gifts or for yourself to remind you of being in the Azores. It's also neat that they have a museum and the decor in the tasting room is so nice. I especially love how they converted the giant barrel into a bar storage thing with shelves and doors.

We tried some great wines and liquors. The staff was very friendly and gave us a little history through their small museum. The restaurant was closed. It was a good wine stop!

Had the most delicious regional meal. The Azorian beef stew was tender and delicious washed down with their own wine. We sat outside under the vines in a simple but calm setting and then took the time to visit the interesting museum.

A Buraca was a great surprise! We tasted some wines and liquors and they are just excellent!
I personally recommend the 'Licor de caroço de nêspera' and 'Licor de canela' 👌
The guide is just a marvelous person and we had an awesome time speaking with her.
Will most certainly come back and visit again when I come back at Pico Island.

We had the chance to visit the little museum about the history of winemaking in Pico. Afterwards, we tasted several liquors and wines, while learning about the island and its culture and customs. A very pleasant experience. Reservations are recommended.

You have a chance to try the traditional wines from Pico and listen to stories of wine making in the region. Unique experience! We loved it.

If you want to do a wine taste pleae do it here! It is a family business. We tasted different wine and liqueurs. She gave us some background stories about the wine and it was a lovely experience on a raining day.

Very good wines & liquers! The lady who was our host was very pleasent, explained us every wine in details and recomended us few. Must see & visit while on Pico!

I visited this place as part of a group and had a local fish stew which was delicious service was good and the tasting of home made alcohol was a real eye opener

Apesar de não termos reserva e um pouco em cima da da hora fomos muito bem recebidos, e foi possível fazer aprovados vinhos. Um espaço muito agradável,de salientar a simpatia da senhora que nos recebeu.

Espaço de enoturismo com espaço museológico com muita história o museu reflete a atividade da família ao longo dos tempos. Além da vista extraordinária provámos o famoso vinho “Verdelho” ,este vinho foi premiado com medalha de ouro considerado um dos melhores vinhos de Portugal Muito Bom!

Guter "Pico-Wein" und deftige Brotzeiten erwarten die Gäste zur Weinprobe.
