Exquisite place! Very peaceful and very good afternoon to detail. Breath taking views of Sao Jorge. Very nice infinity pool near the yoga room all with ocean views. Magma probably on of best restaurants on Pico

This really is the place to be on Pico. The Lava Home casas a well-designed houses with an absolutely spectacular view. They are perfect for a family stay. Our house was well equipped with everything you need and if you don't want to cook for yourself, the MAGMA restaurant is nearby. The staff at Lava Homes were very friendly and helpful, as was the team at MAGMA restaurant.
Our children especially enjoyed the pool at Lava Homes. The water was a pleasant temperature and the view from the pool was also spectacular. We also enjoyed the well-kept garden around the casas.
In Santo Amaro, the nearby village, there is a small grocery shop with very international clientele and staff. It was nice to stop by in the afternoon for a Bica and an ice cream.
If we go to Pico again, we would definitely book a casa at Lava Homes again and can only recommend it.

Incredible stay at Lava House. The location and homes themselves are absolutely breathtaking. The staff showcased utmost professionalism and care throughout, and the amenities such as the stunning pool and lovely Magma restaurant exceeded our expectations overall. Can't wait to return to Pico to stay here again.

This place is an absolute gem! The homes are clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. This location had all the comforts of staying in a local home, with the added extras that come with being part of a resort (heated pool, on-site restaurant, staff available).

The gardens and views are incredible. They include a number of resting spots where groups of friends can gather. I loved spending my mornings on our private balcony gazing at the sea (and the island São Jorge).

The food at the Magma restaurant is delicious. We had dinner in the restaurant the night of our arrival and it was easily one of the best meals we enjoyed on the island. We also opted for the breakfast addition to our stay and it was well worth it. The spread featured a large assortment of breads, meats and cheeses are well as traditional Western favorites such as eggs, pancakes and yogurt.

Completely felt in love with this place. The house is cocooning, design and perfectly equiped. The yoga room ans the pool are breathtaking. Amazing vibe from the team and great food from the restaurant. What a good surprise

This place was the main contributor to what we loved about Pico. It is cosy, warmhearted and peaceful. We truly felt like we were at home as it offers everything you need to enjoy your stay, if not more. Upon the arrival, the whole beauty truly begins when you walk into your villa, which is surrounded by its gorgeous Azorean vegetation. The surroundings of the villas offer the abundance of views to dive deep into, from the mountains (incl. Pico if weather allows it) to an enduring sight of the rich ocean. The staff of Lava Homes was the icing on the cake and deserves a big word of appreciation, incl. the front desk and restaurant as well as the cleaning workers. Everyone here was very friendly, helpful, supportive and generous. We’re already waiting for a moment to come back and experience this magic once again. Huge thanks for everything!

I recently stayed at Lava Homes for three nights with my partner and to sum it up in one word: amazing. The home itself was pristine and allowed for huge glass windows to be open in the front and the back of the house. The bathroom also had a large window and could be opened to simulate an "outdoor" shower that faced a private, back wall. The home was equipped with a full kitchen and utensils which we used for several meals and could supplement entrees with take away from the Magma restaurant. Benedita, the owner, was a gracious host and incredibly friendly and helpful, even giving us a tour of one of the new homes that was opening in just a few days. The area was very quiet and the pool was refreshing with a perfect view.
If I had to pick one thing to suggest for next time, it is to include a fan in the bedroom. We stayed during a warm week and while it was comfortable, we would have enjoyed a fan.

Bottom line: if going to Pico, you should stay at Lava Homes. It's one of the best places I've ever stayed and hope to return again soon.

Just imagine to dream and wake up here. Lava Homes is one of the most beautiful eco resorts in Portugal, in the Pico island, Azores. The houses are fully equiped, and as you can see by the fotos is gorgeous!!!
The outside pool is heated and has a superb view over the sea, with the island of São Miguel in the background. The staff is frendly and always attentive to guest needs. Book in advance because is very difficult.
Deserved a 7 star recognition.

Lava homes is a must place to stay while visiting Pico. The homes are incredibly well equiped, have an excellent taste on the decoration - everything matches it's amazing.
The food is top as well, I recommend to try out the 'Lapas' and 'Bife de Magma'.
Also, make yourself a favor and try the massage, it's easily the best massage I got.

Even better than the pictures. Houses are amazing, view is outstanding, restaurant is very nice. Really glad we've chosen Lava Homes for our Holidays - Casa da Eira has a great view.

Lovely place, marvelous garden with infinity pool. We just loved our LAVA HOME for a week a lot. Couldn't be better.
