This was our best meal on the island. The shrimp as a starter was fantastic, probably the best shrimp I’ve ever had. The sangria was so delicious as well. The steak was perfectly cooked and the garlic aioli that came with the fries was fantastic. My partners tuna was also cooked to perfection. The restaurant was gorgeous inside and our server was so pleasant and sweet.

We tried their best seller * tuna stake *, it was delicious. I've never seen such a thick cut of Tuna. We went twice during our short stay. We also tried the T bone steak. It was to die for. Fried prawns from the starters is yummy too. Good selection of wines to choose from.
We spent between 50- 67eurors for 2 people. ( bottle of wine, 2 starters - olives and fried prawns - and a main to share and a dessert ).

Recommended to make a reservation if you want to have dinner.

I came on a busy Sunday afternoon after Carnaval festivities. It was busy, but they had no problem accommodating a party of one. Staff was very patient with my limited Portuguese...they all spoke English. I ordered a meat/cheese plate and a rump croquette! I haven't had São Jorge cheese before. It was awesome. Service was great. With some very reasonably priced vinho tinto, it was a great afternoon meal. I would like to return for a proper meal next time!

Cool little restaurant with delicious food. Our waitress was very nice and welcoming. We ordered the cheese board, calamari and shrimp pasta which were all great. Def recommend!

Best filet mignon ever!!! I tried the roastbeef version, with herb butter, hollandaise sauce and french fries. The rare cooking was perfect and also desserts were delicious: dona Amelia cake and almond pie. With a good bottle of Duoro red wine and some starters to share, we spent 25€ each.

Best tuna steak I've ever had! Local, fresh fish, I highly recommend (on the suggestion of my Spanish friend, the slightly rare version!) Charming venue, lovely service and delicious food! I highly recommend, especially the seafood and wine!

On the recommendation of our guide, we had lunch here to try their local specialties. Our group of four adults shared a charcuterie board with dried pork sausages and cheeses from Terceira, São Jorge and Pico; Alcatra (braised beef in spices); fried hake; local Donatario white wine; and Dona Amelia cake (a cornmeal-based gingerbread). Everything was fantastic, especially the beef and the cake (both Terceira specialties).

Beautiful tasca and great food. I recommend trying the alcatra, which is very traditional in Terceira. The desserts were great, too.

I think the best and most artistic place in the island. We were starving, all restaurants were closed and this was the only place to offer vegetarian food: decent vegetarian pasta. My wife loved it and I loved the sea food and appetisers.

This is a really lovely restaurant, we came twice and enjoyed it. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is great. Food is decently priced, would recommend the shrimp pasta, piri piri shrimp, and haka fillets especially! The potato skins weren’t that great - better off getting normal fries I would say. The clams were quite strong and not much meat, and the tuna had a strong olive taste which I’m not a fan of personally. But otherwise it’s a lovely restaurant with lots of great options and good portions - we’d definitely recommend!!

Went here today and managed to get a table which is good as like everywhere here you need to pre book. Starter of prawns and potatoes fries where excellent, then we finished with two rump steaks 🥩 again they were full of flavour and we enjoyed them . Staff were professional and polite can’t fault them , the decor was brilliant to . Recommended

Fantastic place, we visited on our first night in Angra then we really liked the food & vibe, so we decided to return the following night for more. The tapas/entradas are delicious, try the calamari or Morcela. Also very good Sangaria. The entrees are well made & generous portions. We loved the Tuna & really enjoyed the Alcatra traditional dish for 2 persons. It’s a good deal & truly well cooked. Good & quick service. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to! Polite, English-friendly and educated staff. Nice and cozy interior. Delicious meals and well-sized portions.

During our short stay on Terceira we tried this restaurant twice and probably couldn't have chosen better. All the food we had was very tasty, both tuna steak and beef steak were fresh and juicy. Traditional Alcatraz meal just blew my mind with its excellent taste and structure, the portion was like for 3 instead of 2 people. I can highly recommend this pleasant gastronomic establishment.

Great atmosphere and tuna steak! Recommend
Also you should try Dona Amelia, traditional desert on the island of Terceira

This place seems to get mixed reviews, but we decided to try it because I wanted to try the traditional beef stew. This restaurant serves a huge portion for 2 people. Along with a mess of delicious fries, it made for a tasty meal. They also serve an interesting local dessert that is made up of milk, lots of sugar, cinnamon, and vinegar. The vinegar causes the milk to clot. It’s very sweet, but actually quite tasty. This is a very busy restaurant – we went early since I wasn’t able to make a reservation, and I was glad they were able to take us.

One of the nicest restaurants I've been to in Terceira. It was absolutely beautiful inside. The views from inside were amazing as well. The food was delicious and the portions were very big. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Higher prices but it's worth the quality. Very tasty and well presented food, nice place, nice staff. Delicious beef, salad, fries, shrimp spaghetti, desert and wine! We tried one white and one red and they were both very enjoyable. Recommended!

Great dinner last night. Generous portion. Very nice presentation. Very good service. Highly recommend.

Keep in mind that downtown parking is very limited, so plan ahead. A small walk before and after dinner might help that situation.

We had great service and food. I had the creamed vegetable soup. We shared a steak served with fries. It was very flavorful. Prices are reasonable. They were open for lunch after 3pm on a Saturday.
