When clear, this may be the most spectacular view on the island. The drive up through hydrangea (hortênsia) thriving on lava rock walls is a sight itself, but the big payoff comes at the top along the road and at the modern observation deck 542 meters above sea level and the 700 acre Achada Plain.

The view of the surrounding patchwork pastures is incredible. Good luck with the wind. He easily overcame my 44 kg 😁😁😁😁😁

The views from here are incredible!!!) A very wide and beautiful panorama of the island opens up. You can see the airport and Lajes, a bit of Angra do Heroismu, and the boundless and beautiful fences of the fields, which lure you to the island with their beauty!!!😎👍👍👍

You can’t say you visited Terceira island without coming up here at least once to take in the view. It’s absolutely breathtaking and well worth the visit. Come up no matter what the weather is, you most likely won’t regret it.

What a beautiful place to see this beautiful island and all its glory. The volcanic features are on full display here and also the fine old stone walls of the island. We were lucky to have good visibility and warm weather, but it's a must stop at any time.

Absolutely worthy to pay a visit. You will be stunned when you stand on top of the mountain and realize what you see is actually the top of the volcano. I STRONGLY recommend to pay here a visit doesn't matter how many times one has been to this island already. It's way more than 'once in a lifetime experience '

Amaizing view, worst a stop, it’s a must in Terceira. The 360 degrees view over the valley from the borders of the most antique volcano of the island will offer you an unforgettable remember of the green fields and cowa of Terceira island.

One of the most beautiful places in terceira. It is reachable by car and there is a terrace as “miradouro”. The view is magic, I suggest to go at sunset or a little bit earlier to appreciate the view the most!

The best point of view of Terceira island.

Despite the clouds today, this was my favorite scenic viewpoint on the island. It’s windy up here so be prepared.

I didn't think this place could possibly look as amazing as the photos, but it's even more so. The lookout platform was being renovated when we visited in June 2023, but we still had amazing views. A local told us that if the wind turbines on top of the mountain are covered with clouds, it's not worth the drive up, and that seemed like solid advice. Terceira is an incredible place!

I absolutely love this place I highly recommend you to go see it it is well worth it.

Not often you can go down in a dormant volcanoe
Try to go when no clouds or mist for better view and pictures but not prevent you to go and check the hours before you head out there
