Gorgeous experience, very well maintained area with east parking. The path was pretty muddy in some spots but I managed the whole route in slides. Not a very long or strenuous walk but lots of uneven ground.

Nice little place. Doesn't taje too long. Free of charge and there is a small parking lot. Impressive to see and feel the steam from the holes. The path was very muddy in february, so bring boots. Took around 30 to 45 mins. The path is a circle so you don't ha e to go around. Start it by the big pannel.

The land surrounding this place is otherworldly and mysterious, the steam vents create an incredible combination of plants and amazingly colored rocks. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow, it surrounds the area with robust wooden rails.

Very low-key place… but we had a lot of fun here! Short walking trail and the “steam” coming out of the earth was cool! Worth a quick trip.

The smell is... Hm, interesting 😏
Nice colours all around.
Interesting place and interesting experience especially because of the smell. Free for all visitors.

30 min easy walking trail, free entrance, parking spots next to the entrance, 100 m of red road till the start of the trail. Active volcanism, walking through a field of furmalores with sulphurous vapors. Simply amazing

Beautiful walk, easy and short. Would recommend to take proper shoes because it has mud in some of the places. Very nice views

Magic place, really well kept. You have a path to follow with view points and explanation boards , the visit is quite short but it's worth it.

Great experience to see a beautiful wonder of nature. I recommend the company "Azores Nature Tours" to take you there. It's worth it, you'll get great photos here and amazing memories.

A lot of parking. Not too busy.
There is space for picnic.
NB. We walked there, but it’s not really walking-friendly. You might need a car or taxi.

It’s no Furnas like on Sao Miguel, but still amazing to think you’re staring into the very guts of the earth, sulfurous steam rolling up from the black moss encased chasms. We visited just after torrential rains, and the pathway is treacherous. Wear boots or hiking gear even for the short - 1km - trail. The area is a protected environmental reserve as well so please please stay on the trails: there’s flora here found nowhere else on earth, and it’s been living quietly for 1000s of years in peace and harmony with the steam vents without your dumba$$ feet stepping all over it ( looking again at you, Brazilian teen school group)
