Not much I can add that hasn’t already been said, get the sopa Dos mariscos, lapas, and whatever fish is fresh. Drink the wine!! Enjoy the ride!!

Excellent fresh seafood restaurant. They even have hard to find Barnacles. Good portion. Good location by the sea like the name of restaurant.

Very popular, so reservations are recommended (if you can get one) or be there when they open and hope they can squeeze you in at a table reserved for later that evening.

Had a great lunch time meal here. Best seafood I've had in the area. The seafood soup is a must, but be warned it is filling. Roberto was an awesome server and made the meal that much better. We enjoyed so much we made reservations to return for dinner. It's a must try for the area.

Very pretty view of the crashing waves & mountain, incredibly attentive & kind service, & the food presentation & taste were good. The seafood soup in a bread bowl was so yummy & the squid & shrimp skewers were very good. (The limpeds were a little strong & salty but I think they're just an acquired taste.)
We would definitely return here, if anything but to try their octopus which was not available today.

We loved this place so much that we ate there 3 times in 4 days! Both the food and the service was wonderful.

I enjoyed both types of skewers. They were consistently delicious and fresh. The sweet potatoes and french fries were my favourite sides.

My cousin enjoyed the lapas (ordered 12 and got 30) and two kinds of grilled fish which were both absolutely delicious. Staff took their time to walk her to the fresh fish counter and explained what types there were. You can’t get fresher than what was there.

We had a great time!!! My wife was obsessed with the Lapas Limpets! The waitress and manager were both very welcoming. Great food & hospitality. The fish of the day, vihno verde, dessert assortment and espresso -at the end were all very good!

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited.
The service, the spot and the view (foto) and the food are all amazing!
I went there for lunch (2ppl) without reservations and got a table within 5 minutes.
The staff was always very pleasant and helpful helping with all the questions and suggestions about what to eat and the portions.
First suggestion was small portion of Lapas as starter, it was and amazing starter with some bread that os the island classic . (Foto)
Then we where suggested to take the seafood bread soup. (Foto) That was my favorite. The soup was very good and with some shrimps. After eating the soup you can also eat the bread that is smooth and tasting like the soup.
After that we got some fish and shrimp skewers (Foto), that was also delicious.
As mentioned before everything was very good but a special mention to the seafood and bread soup!

The staff made us feel super comfortable and even changed our table to a better table with a view over the bay between starters and the soup as they got a better table with a view free at that point, making the meal whole experience even better.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want a traditional Portuguese meal, specially for fish and sea food, and experience and I will definitely repeat my visit as soon as I’m back into the island.

This is an ABSOLUTE staple of a restaurant everyone should visit when you go to Ikha Terceira. The food is just delicious the seafood is as fresh as fresh can get. Caught in the morning served in the evening. 5/5*

Read reviews and had to try. Mother in law has spoken about lapas for years and they were as good as hyped.
Hake, fresh bread and cheese, limpets and cerveja. Saudade!

This place is highly recommended by the locals and is always busy! They have a reputation of having the freshest fish around. They certainly have the best location to achieve that claim to fame! We arrived just after the dinner opening at this small, simple and humble restaurant, that just "bleeds history" and reputation, as you walk in. It was busy as expected, but they sat us at a small table and served us promptly! (Must have been our height and awesome smiles right!?) We had their delicious house red wine, grilled Swordfish, grilled Afonsinho, (highly recommend this!) with sweet potatoes and broccoli. What a harvest from the sea, and I'm willing to bet you, that the flavors we tasted that night were nothing like you've ever experienced! We didn't have dessert, as the place was filling up fast, and we didn't want to press our luck, as they were so kind to seat these two hungry kids without a wait! Wonderful restaurant that sits right on the sea, but beware, there's limited parking here. Oh well, so worth the challange and reward that awaits you! WOW

We had the Limpets and fresh fish. Sat on the patio with a great view of the harbour. Excellent food, friendly service. Highly recommended.

Very popular spot on Terceira. We tried to call for a reservation but was not able to get thru. Decided to drop by on a Friday evening and was warmly greeted by a young female server who got us a table right away.

No wonder this place is popular because the food is amazing. Lapas were buttery and juicy. The shrimps were tasty too. Plenty of parking available at the dock.

Great local place for seafood with a view. Had the barnacle and the limpets which were both not in season but the server said they weren't frozen. Grilled octopus was tasty. Shrimp and wreckfish skewer offered a good variety. The seafood would definitely have been fresher in the summer but a good experience nonetheless.

The sand pudding was a delight.

Perfect location for sea food restaurant. Delicious food with beautiful view. Local curd cheese with spicy sauce on the bread, perfect appetizer.Must try all 4 cakes.

Wonderful lunch experience with great view over the harbor. Fish soup lives from the presentation. Lapas absolutely delicious - with lots of garlic. Mixed seafood grill was also fresh and tasty. Cheesecake was alright in the end.

Highly recommended! One of the best places to have fish on Terceira island. And it's also vegetarian friendly :) There is veggie soup and one vegetarian dish which changes from time to time. I got a huge plate with grilled veggies and nuts with pasta. Delicious! If you're vegetarian with friends who prefer to eat fish, this is a place you're looking for :) Very kind and helpful staff, also speaks English and German.

Probably one of the best restaurants on the island. The food is great and made with fresh ingredients. Make sure you make your reservation because it's always quite busy. Best to sit at the window as it is quite warm there. Very good price/service ratio. Many locals eat there.
The atmosphere is the typical loud dining room that represent Portuguese and Spanish restaurants. But you will forget this quickly over your delishes food.
Parking you will find across the street, plenty of space.

Wowowowow!! Gorgeous scenery in a no frills kinda place. The fish tastes like it was pulled right off the boat. I even tried barnacles for the first time and boy was I surprised how awesome they are! Must go if you are in the area.

Fresh fish, friendly service, tremendous view.

Be sure to make a reservation at least the day before. They are busy, for good reasons. Staff is very welcoming and helpful, ask them for their recommendation about the freshest fish available. Our fish entrees came with sautéed vegetables. We also tried the seafood soup in a bread bowl which tasted great, but could have maybe had more protein in it. Vinho verde at €9 a bottle is hard to beat.

Overall, highly recommend for casual vibe with great service and delicious fish. This place is a gem that I can’t wait to visit again.
