Guincho Wayra House

This was one of the best travel experiences I've had so far. I was there for 6 days but would gladly have stayed for more.
The location and accommodation were beautiful and felt so homey. Laura was an excellent host, very sweet and helpful from the beginning and also her and Tina were awesome yoga instructors, always taking into consideration each persons yoga level, how tired we were etc.
The breakfast was great and very nutritious, perfect to have before a surf class.
There were many other activities to choose from which is a nice thing to have in case the weather is not good for surfing. Everything was always clean and tidy and Laura was super kind to let me store my luggage at the hostel after my check out and even to hang around the place until I could check in at my other hostel.
Would 100% recommend and definitely return for more surfing and fun.

I had a really great experience at Guincho Wayra House! Laura was very welcoming and friendly, and I met amazing people. I enjoyed every moment of this trip, it was a magical time!
The house is beautiful, has a view on the ocean, and is very clean! There is a bus station right by the house and it's a 20min walk to the beach.
I recommend!

Our stay was absolutely perfect, with a wonderful view from each room and balcony, a calm environment, great energy.

The house location is the best in town, you can feel the unique Portuguese's authentic neighborhood vibe, with anything you need within reach (a grocery shop across the corner, a restaurant, and a small pub) and at the same time secluded enough, surrounded by nature, to give me the peace I sought.

A walking distance from the beach, offering everything I could possibly dream of; yoga classes, hikes, kite surfing, surfing, mountain climbing, and horse riding.
There's plenty of parking space if you have a car and a bus station just around the corner so visiting cities around was very easy.

House was always clean and felt warm and inviting. I'll be back soon

It was my first time in Portugal and I was looking for a cozy place, close to nature and beach. And I couldn't pick a better place to stay!

We especially enjoyed the yoga lessons in the morning, the fantastic breakfast afterwards (the best reward for early yoga) and the surf lessons, hiking trails and of course the breathtaking view from the house! ❤

It is an amazing place to stay, offering a huge variety of outdoor activities as well as great yoga classes with Laura and Tina. Is there a better way to start your day than doing yoga and watching the waves from the terrace?!

I stayed for one week and it felt like home. Warm, welcoming atmosphere and wonderful people - hosts as well as the other guests. I had an incredible time at Wayra House! Laura is an amazing host, always there for guests putting attention to small details. Unprecedent human experience with other travellers and peaceful location where you can reload your battery. Weather is ideal, wind is there and the view from the house on the sea is unique. You are located in a natural park and can go from the house to the beach by walking.
As a couple, we did the climbing & surfing/yoga combo which was a perfect mix!
We will come back as soon as we can!

There is a beautiful house on the middle of a valley with a path that leads down to the Guincho beach, where people surf and kite. It can acommodate some people but not so much that it feels crowded. The vibe of the house is of peacefulness; guests want to be friendly, tell each other how was their day of surfing or where did they travel to in previous times. Rest your mind and prepare your body for morning yoga; Laura has worked hard so that you have a place, even if only for a few days, where you can let go of everything that sets you off balance.

Laura was the most loveliest host, her yoga classes were amazing and the energy in the house allround outstanding. It’s home away from home! Moreover, one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed! Highly recommend. Thanks Laura (& the others)! 🦋

This great hostel is a 20min walk away from the Guincho Beach and offers a view on it and on the kites when there is wind. You are welcomed by the entrepreneurial host Laura and you have nice bathrooms and a supermarket around the corner. Everyone is very active in this hostel, mostly with (kite)surfing and yoga!

I had a an amazing time surrounded by lovely people and the best host ever Laura! It’s the perfect place to calm down and connect with other people. The surf lessons and yoga classes were really good and I enjoyed it a lot! The house is super clean and well connected with the bus or Uber to get into the city center. I’ll surely come back and hope to keep the magic for a little while in me. Thanks!

Laura is a very warm, powerful and friendly host. The hostel has a big charm and you feel very comfortable and home. I miss the time with the other Yogis, Yogateacher and Laura. It is very tidy and clean. So I definitely come back❤.

This is the best hostel experience I have had! Laura looks after her hostel and guests so beautifully, it is walking distance from the beach and has a gorgeous view. Breakfast is delicious and the yoga every morning is a perfect way to start your day. Ideal if you want to be near the city but come home to nature. I will definitely be back! I decided to have some holidays on my own. I have to say I’ve never travel alone before so I was a bit scare and not feeling very confident.
Days before to get into my trip Laura was in touch with me and that made me feel very secure , we kept in touch until I arrive at Wayra house. When I arrived she was very welcome and nice , the house was Amazing , everything is really clean and tidy . I could feel as well such a good energy in the house. The experience with the activities was very well organise and everything went far so well. Breakfast was lovely ready every morning. Yoga first thing in the morning is everything you need to start the day, Laura does a very good yoga class. The house is very close to the beach and inside nature , it has lovely views from the terrace. As well mention the lovely volunteer worker that was at the moment in the house she made everything very special as well. It was Such a great experience I hope get back soon. :)

Wayra house is a beautiful place that offers a warm welcome to everyone, solo or group traveller. With 12 wonderful people in the house, we practiced Yoga in the morning and had breakfast together before everyone got ready for surfing, kiting or climbing. The house is beautifully located in the outter circle of a national park and offers a breathtaking view over the forest and the Atlantic on the horizon. The people who come to this place are open-minded, adventurous and bring tons of inspiring stories to the table. It was a great balance of sport, exploring and bonding that I experienced during my stay. I was supposed to leave after a eek already, but asked if I could spontaneously stay a week longer. Laura is an amazing host who makes everyone feel home from day 1. The house is super clean and offers 'quiet corners' if you don't feel like socializing. The surf school is equally amazing with possibly the best surf teachers I ever had. Thank you so much, Laura and Yolaine, for creating this outstanding atmosphere, filled with positive energy in which you can unwind and find yourself. I hope to be back soon!

I had an absolut amazing time at Guincho Wayra House. If you want to relax, calm down, enjoy nature, be by yourself, but still connect with awesome people and have the possibility for activities such as Kite, Surfing, Yoga, Rock climbing, Massage, this is the place for you. I felt so heartly welcomed from the first second on. Not only from the host Laura, who has super kind, but also from all the guests. The house is so beautiful, clean and feels like home. Everything was perfectly organised. Laura was also above and beyond helpful as I lost my luggage and gave me everything I needed. Really appreciate it. Thank you Laura, it was wonderful, I will for sure come back and recommend it to my friends

I stayed in Wayra house for three nights and then i came back for one last night because I loved the place and I wanted to stay more.
Laura is a super host, welcoming and friendly; she creates a great environment and attracts very open minded and friendly guests. if you travel alone you will definitely make new friends.
The house is very nice, clean and with a beautiful view.
I definitely recommend Wayra house to all the people that want to have an amazing experience with great people

Laura makes you feel very welcome from the Moment you enter the door. Since only 12 people can be at this Hostel at any given time, it has a very loving atmosphere and everyone shares their stories and experience. In the evenings often everyone goes out together. If you want a social, loving Hostel, you are absolutely right to stay here!

Staying at Wayra was one of the best experiences of my life. The Hostel is extremely well-suited for anyone looking to relax, get in touch with nature, and meet open minded, high vibe people.

The Hostel is extremely clean, and beautiful. The hosts are warm and very friendly. The activities are amazing too.

My initial plan was to stay for a bit more than a week, but ended up staying for almost a month.

Amazing will be an understatement to describe my beautiful experience in Guincho. We went there for my birthday and enjoyed it a lot. Yoga in the morning, surf and paddle board. Very relaxing atmosphere and Laura was very welcoming, warm and kind. I am planning to go next summer. I highly reccomend it!!!
