Parque de Campismo das Lajes

If you are traveling there in May: the campsite isn't officially opened. Which means you CAN still access it and camp, which we did. BUT no shower facilities. Although you can get free (cold) shower and toilets by the ocean which is a 4mn walk. So I'd say all in all, it's a lovely and quiet spot to pitch a tent, walking distance to everything and super quiet and with an amazing view.

Very nice place, great shadow for tents, magical view in the most beautiful city in pico. The only downside was the bathroom: only one toilet available! Hot water and paper towel available. Kitchen is available, but there are no stoves. Price around 7 euros for two people per night. Great place overall!

This is always my favorite place in Pico in the summer!
It has a beautiful stunning view to the Atlantic Ocean and the Pico Vulcano. The stuff is very friendly and the kitchen and infrastructure equipment is suffcient.
You have some good restaurants near by, 5 minutes to the lava-swimming pool and the harbour where you can go for whale watching etc...

Good cooking facilities, washing line, hot showers, great location with amazing views, two minute drive from Lages do Pico port. Laid back and friendly.

es gibt schattige Plätze, es gibt Strom und W-lan. warmes Wasser und einige duschen. Es gibt eine Küche oder eher gesagt ein Waschbecken. es gibt auch eine Wäscheleine. in der nähe gibt es auch einen laden. die grill stelle ist nicht überzeugend, da ich eher ein fan von Lagerfeuern bin.

Foi particularmente especial encontrar este lugar, não só pela enorme dificuldade em encontrar parques de campismo abertos nesta altura do ano, como pela incrível disponibilidade do responsável pelo parque, o Manuel.
Disponibilizou-se imediatamente a abrir-nos as casas de banho, já que nesta época o parque não tem quase nenhuma frequência. Conhecê-lo foi sem dúvida conhecer um pouco da terra e das suas gentes tão acolhedoras. Sentimo-nos em casa! Um muito muito obrigada!

Superbe camping, visité le 12 octobre avec vue sur la montagne, environnement agréable. Il n’y avait personne dans le camping (normal vu la période). Le responsable n’était pas sur place mais avons pu le contacter par téléphone. Il nous a dit qu’on pouvait s’installer sans problème.
Et il est venu le matin nous ouvrir les sanitaires.
Le gérant, Manuel était très arrangeant et sympathique. Il nous a même proposé d’aller boire un verre le lendemain mais nous n’étions pas disponible !
Les douches et sanitaires fonctionnel, de l’eau chaude disponible, par contre pas super propre peut être car la saison est terminée.
Il y a un coin “cuisine” pour préparer à manger, des tables et des bancs pour se mettre à l’abri.
Le tarif était de 6,40€ par tente.

Très belle expérience dans ce camping qui a tout pour plaire : de nombreux emplacements avec possibilité d'une belle vue sur le mont pico, des parties communes propres et bien entretenues et surtout Manuel, qui par son accueil, sa gentillesse, et ses conseils d'ami nous a fait découvrir de bonnes adresses et de bons plats. Pas loin, une belle piscine naturelle permet de se rafraîchir.. Encore merci Manuel !

Camping muy tranquilo con excelentes vistas del Piquinho. Esta más cuidado que otros camping de la isla y por lo general esta todo muy limpio. Manuel se encarga del mantenimiento del camping, es una persona muy simpática que aconseja sobre lugares y eventos a los que ir cerca.

Como sugerencia: aunque es difícil contactar previamente antes de llegar al camping (no aceptan reservas) es tan grande que siempre habrá sitio disponible (no te preocupes). Abre hasta finales de septiembre fuera de esta fecha mejor enviar un correo al ayuntamiento de Lajes do Pico.

Um lugar fantástico!! Desde a localização na Vila, à beleza das árvores e zonas verdes. O parque tem bons Wc, grelhador e telheiro com mesas, água e eletricidade. O preço também é muito em conta :) O parque está à responsabilidade do Sr.Manuel que é muito prestável, simpático e muito preocupado com o parque e o bem estar de todos :)

Wir waren im Dezember dort und eigentlich hatte der Campingplatz geschlossen. Als wir bei der Telefonnummer anruften, öffnete uns der nette Platzwart (spricht Englisch) trotzdem den Campingplatz und heizte sogar die Duschen für uns ein. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Der Preis ist sehr günstig. Vielen Dank!

Parque de campismo muito bom. Perto da praia, restaurantes e do centro da vila. Wc's limpas. Tem 2 lava loiças e fogão a gás.
O senhor Manuel é 5 estrelas. Grande abraço.

Sehr gut gelegen. Zeltplätze mit Gras bewachsen, schattig oder freistehend, wie man es haben will. Ruhig, kein störender Lärm. Sehr netter, freundlicher Platzwart, spricht Englisch und Französisch. Die Zentrum ist mit Auto und zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Zu zahlen ist für 1 Zelt und 1 Person 4,40€/Nacht. So die Berge, wie auch Madalena sind mit Auto schnell zu erreichen.

Ottimo campeggio nella sua semplicità. L'accoglienza di Manuel è stata davvero sorprendente. Abbiamo ricevuto diversi suggerimenti e informazioni utili per visitare l'isola. Nel campeggio ci sono diverse piazzole con vista mare e sul pese di Lajes, ottime per avere la propria tranquillità anche quando ci sono tanti ospiti.
Bagno con un wc e quattro docce, comunque non è un grande ostacolo.
Consigliato per il gestore e la localizzazione.

Tem balneários com chuveiros e água quente.
Funcionário muito simpático, deixou-nos ficar apesar de já terem fechado o parque.
