This is by far the best place in Vila Nova de Milfontes and in our opinion the best spot in Portugal. The food is amazing, always renewed and all home made, cakes are fantasticly delicious and again everything's home-made, the Sangria is...well let's said you never tried Sangria until this one. The terrasse has a very poetic view on laguna behind the Fort. The owners are very welcoming and of I had anything to add, I would !! Dont take my word for it just go there !!!

James discovered a hole in the wall that happened to be a cozy little local sandwich shop. Friendly staff, spoke English and were very kind and one of them was even kinda very pretty 😍

Great place for a quick bite, wide selection of sandwiches and such. Check out the pies and cakes inside. Sitting outside here is really nice.

I loved this local tiny place - We had sandwiches, cakes, soup, and prata do dia there, everything was very good, prices very decent, everything fresh - and the ladies working there are super sweet and good hearted.

Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food and great service. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you manage to leave room for desert try to squeeze one in as they are home made and delicious too. Great place for a snack, a main meal or even just a coffee. Eat outside, inside or up on the roof balcony. Amazing.

We ate every meal here. All the food, EVERYTHING, was made from scratch. Natalia, the owner, was there all day, and you can taste the love in all her food. The staff was friendly and bright. We loved Rodolfo, who taught himself to speak fluent English. Natalia’s husband was right there helping out all day. The interior is vibrant in yellow and red. Outside dining and three floors of interior dining. We had so many different dishes…quiche, salads, duck with rice, lasagna, cuttlefish to name a few. Every meal we enjoyed with a salad and then finished each meal with the most amazing choices of homemade dessert cakes and pastry or fresh fruit milkshakes. A MUST. Easy to find…right across from the castle.

Lovely food and lovely people. We ordered two of the daily specials, two soups, half a litre of wine and one dessert which came to a total of 23€. Really good fish, the staff was also very friendly. There are plenty of seats upstairs, not only at the ground floor.

Absolutely exceptional Portuguese cafe / restaurant ran by wonderful and conscious ladies! I have eaten here twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. I would come again for dinner if I didn’t have to leave this town! Absolutely a must eat in town. Amazing Portuguese restaurant! It baffles me why anyone would post less than a 5 star review!

The food here is always so tasty! Famous Locally for its delicious sandwiches and hearty plates of the day. Reminds me of family meals that your mum would cook. The owner is the queen of upsell: "you must try the cake", "you want coffee". We love her! My belly is full to bursting from the tasty helping of slow roasted pork today. And don't forget to sit on the roof! The view from the terrace is stunning. Castle, beaches and sea view with home made sangria!! Perfect!

I'd definitely recommend visiting this place whether you want a quick bite or proper dinner. They have seating on the rooftop with a great view to the Fort and the river. They offer both safe options like chicken with fries and daily specials that include traditional Portuguese dishes. There's also fresh juice which is delicious and not expensive and dessert (plenty of options to choose from because on the ground floor people tend to drop by just for cake and a coffee). Finally, the staff were very welcoming and helpful (and our waitress in particular was great!).

I have only visited this restaurant on search for birthday cake and they had this one available, ready to buy. Cake was made of :red spong , meringue, cream made from mascarpone cheese, then next layer of strawberry jam, and more cream and another sponge layer. Very very delicious. Staff so so friendly, lady even offered birthday candles.
They are offering lots of more homemade cakes and foods.
They accept master cards or visa.

This was the best chocolate cake I have ever had! I warmly recommend this amazing little local restaurant! Plus it is super cheap. Just a great deal!

probably the cheapest and best cost benefit around. awesome staff, very friendly and helpful. for some reason, the first chocolate carrot cake I've seen in portugal, out of 2 years living in Lisbon. and a great, tasteful slice while one of the cheapest desserts I've ever tried.

Amazing owner from Ukraine, true homefood and amazing cakes. You can have a nice meal with an amazing view.
