Camping Milfontes

We have stayed in many campsites around Portugal and Spain over the last 9 years. Camping Milfontes was the best so far. It’s clean well run by friendly staff. It has a lovely fun and vibrant, laidback vibe. We camped the first night and stayed in a cabin for 10 nights. It was all great. We like to try different places but actually will come back to camping Milfontes.

I did a road trip (Costa Vicentina and Algarve), and after staying in some camping, I can tell—this one has THE BEST structure out of those I visited.

⛺Camping Infrastructure 5/5⭐
The main factor is that the trees make individual camping zones. You can have more privacy since each tent has its own area.

Besides that, electricity is available, enough space to park the car close to the tent and good overall organization.

🚽Toilets 5/5⭐
By far the best toilet. Everything is new, and clean, the water is warm, and its pressure is excellent.

🚨Security 5/5⭐
I believe the “private” camping area made us feel more secure. The neighbors were very amiable and helpful when we needed something.

🏊‍♀Activities & Entrainment 4/5⭐
There’s a swimming pool, which I didn’t have the chance to visit. Besides that, it looks like some activities are going on. I can’t comment much about that.

💰Price/Value 5/5⭐
I paid for two people, a tent, a car, and electricity. The best deal considering what it offers, and comparing with other campings in the south of Portugal.

Really nice site for camping in a tent with a car, pretty and well maintained and you can drive near to your tent. The bathrooms are very modern and clean- there are bidets rather than loo roll and you need your own hand soap. Staff were very helpful and we used the laundry which was 3.75 for a small load (5kg), and includes detergent. The shop has a good range and you can walk into town. There was a little bit of noise at night, but it was peak season and the site was quite busy so to be expected.

Great place to visit the town. Also good walks locally. Very well organised. 2 bars, library, TV room, pool (closed when we visited), tennis. Plus fresh water and grey and black drainage. We loved it here.

I have gone there twice now in the Summer, both times to the tent area. It has nicely shaded places, well-kept bushes and a nice ambiance in general. The pool has salted water and is gorgeous, and the beaches are within walking distance but there is also a pretty tram which passes by the camping site and goes to them, taking a scenic route (it is around 2 euros per trip and runs nearly all day).

I went there camping with my friends 2 years in a row in August.
The park is in great condition and has a lot of shade for tents. The people are very nice, there's usually hot water and it's pretty quiet at night time.
The park is pretty close to the city and consequently the beach, however if you don't like to walk much there's a tram that picks up tourists right in front of the parking entrance and the ticket is only around 2 euros.
Theres not an abundance of parking spots for your car, however parking inside is an option.
The best thing about the park is the pool, not only is it gorgeous it also has decent pricing for the campers and is overall a good place to spend a lazy afternoon.
The beaches have a beautiful pier and isn't overcrowded however the water is pretty cold!
Definitely enjoyed myself and will be going again 😊

We had a ball here - by far one of the nicest campsites we experienced while on holidays. Camp shop is awesome - packed full of anything you'll need including fresh bread in the morning and it isn't expensive. Pool is clean and there is a life guard on duty. Great value for money. We will be back.

Here is what you need. Washing machine, dryer, the lady in reception help you, Only use the washing powder of the place.Café with food, beer.. Etc. A little grocery shop.

Really nice place to stay for a while, a bit old but always clean and comfortable, this camping has an impressive swimming pool, but you have to pay for use it. The staff is so kind and helpful

Perfect place for camping lovers ! Clean, plenty of spaces, very nice staff, and easy to get to. Also a great stop point on the way to the South. I highly recommend!

Friendly laid back campsite. Just enough trees for some shade without being an issue for driving and parking.
