Pátio Alentejano

A fairly high class restaurant hidden between houses, one would not expect it to be that large or in that place given the surrounding housing or the street its located on.
The staff has the "customer service experience" perfected down to a T leaving very little if nothing to be desired from the interactions with them.
I will warn straight ahead that most doses of food are fairly large and most people should aim for half doses if not used to eating large dishes.
That being said the food is always finely plated no what you pick coming with a divine presentation that one would only expect in a 5 star restaurant.

New customers beware given the year round popularity of this establishment one should aim to call in 30 minutes before the lunch table service starts to reserve a table either for lunch or diner.

Another note is that there is limited amount of parking available and one shouldnstrive to.walk to the restaurant to prevent any time wasted due to parking.

Such a lovely restaurant tucked away in Milfontes. I had the great fish by the kilo and elected Robalo (sea bass), which was excellent. At 1/2 kilo it was a lot of food for one! Accompanied by potatoes and steamed vegetable, pao, and olives, and complemented by a bottle of house green wine, I was in heaven.

I never felt rushed and soaked in the atmosphere, while enjoying the background noise provided by a combination of tourists and Portuguese locals.

Highly recommend Pátio Alentejano. It was recommended to me by my hotel reception, and they nailed it!

What a lovely place to eat, also has a backyard so don’t be fooled by a small entrance, plenty of room for a crowd, seafood was amazing, with fresh fish to choose from, also the black pork was rather great. Overall really great place with very friendly staff. Highly

I believe... this is one of the best restaurants in Portugal. Definitely the best I found, I mean outside the Michelin star scene and whatnots. The food served here will make your heart cry for more. Ask for the octopus... half dose! Because only half is a freaking huge serving of delicious mouth melting sinful pleasure mountain of incredibly well prepared octopus that you will never find again in life. It is that good. Highly, highly recommended. Make reservations! Side note, I will always come back here whenever returning to this beautiful town of Milfontes.

Just awesome portugiese food. Fish Was excellent. We had monkfish Rice dish. Rather a Portugiese Version of Paella. Very Taste.

Came in for a late dinner but they were already full so I did take away. The soup was gorgeous, homemade, just like my grandma's 🤩 can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Chocos grelhados were very tasty, full portion could be too much though. If you are not very hungry take a half of it! Also huge selection of delicious deserts. House wine 1.5 euros for a glass! Super

Great place to eat! Don‘t order the Bacalhau when you are alone - the portion feeds you for 3 days 😂 and then 19€ is a reasonable price 😁 food was delicious, good table wine, good service. Well frequented, so better make a reservation before.

Excellent service, atmosphere and food. My partner had the octopus and I had pork, clams and Prawns for main with baby cuttlefish to start. Excellent English, book before hand to guarantee a table. Very good value for money. Go for the 1/2 portions too as they are more than ample.

Busy place always, but consistently delivering very good quality food at very reasonable prices. Staff really friendly. Was dinner yesterday and it will be dinner tonight. There are other great places around, but Patii is just too good to miss.

Great value for money restaurant. Best sardines have ever tasted. Excellent "tamporil" brochette, top class "mingas alentajanas ", friendly and amicable service. All in all, couldn't ask for more...would definitely visit again:)

There's a reason for this place being always really busy, and hard to get a table without reservation, the food is really good. Delicious, fragrant, homey, no frills, regional dishes, made with really fresh ingredients, and served in generous portions. The "Choco Frito" they serve here is one of the best I ever had.

Also, the atmosphere is really cozy, and the staff is very friendly and relaxed. I really enjoy coming here, when I'm in or around town, this is the first place I try.

It's located not that far from the main street, but can be hard to find parking near by.

This is a fantastic restaurant and well worth the trouble to get into. You will need to book a table a day or so in advance. Every meal we ordered was of an extra large size and absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful even though it was so busy. A very enjoyable experience.

The food was very nice. we had the fresh cheese starter and the vegetarian and vegan plate, everything was fresh, delicious and well seasoned! The waiter was very kind. Recommended
