Odete Bakery - padaria artesanal & pastelaria vegan

For small bites & more this place should be on your list as a vegan visiting Porto.

We came here on the first day, and then again two days later, it was just so nice to have a bakery that is not over the top trying to be specially vegan and still nail the concept.

The bread is super fresh, the toasts are tasty and it’s cheap, really really cheap. We did not get to eat the more complex stuff there, just the ham and cheese and tomato and cheese toasts, the pastel the nata, croissant and the cinnamon roll, all amazing.

We will definitely be back next time to try more things.

edit: on our last day in Porto we also took two sandwiches, the abigail and the mediterranean and both were amazing

By far this is the best vegan cafe we've tried since being in Porto. The coffee is ridiculously good. All of the bread is sourdough as are the cinnamon rolls, these are delicious. Highlight for my husband was the pastel de nata. The pastry and filing being equally delicious! Heading back again for breakfast today!

Don't miss their pastel de nata, it's really good and you will not find many vegans version of it in Portugal. They also offer many other delicious pastries: pan-au-chocolat, brioche, tartelette, cinnamon rolls.... the sanduiches are really good too, made with fresh ingredients and amazing bread. Had I spent more days in Porto I would have gone there everyday for breakfast and lunch.

When you imagine a vegan delicacy, this is what comes to mind. Delicious. Mouth watering. Beautiful. It’s hard to find words when you’re so overwhelmed with the absolutely incredible taste of vegan tarts and pastries. An absolutely must for anyone plant based.

Most amazing place in Porto! Such a welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and kind staff, awesome food, fair prices and nice music. Huge recommendation!

We went there a few times while we stayed in Porto and tried few things, the croissant was the best I ever had and the chocolate bun was super delicious. The cinnamon roll and the cardamon roll were really good, he also had one with lemon icing which was really nice too and it was a different one each day we went so lots of variety. It’s all so good we also got a ham and cheese toast and the bread was super soft and really nice.

A little cute vegan walhalla in Porto! We had the best sandwiches which were made with bread of the day with rosemary and sesame seed. Soooo good 😍. In addition we ordered a lot of sweets which were super tasty. The price/value is incredibly good. The service was also 👌. Absolutely recommend Odete to ANYONE!!!

They have the best vegan pastel de nata I eat so far in Portugal. Also the sourdough Sandwiches are amazing. Everything is homemade ❤

We had the cinnamon bun, the pain au chocolate, the chocolate fruit tart, a quiche and a chocolate biscuit. Everything was very fresh and delicious. We also loved the latte prepared with oat drink and the green tea (Clearspring) served in beautiful china. The place has lovely and relaxed atmosphere and super nice staff.

I am not a vegan but this place good make me! Vegan sandwiches with amazing sourdough bread that they have no less flavour than a "normal" one. If you are around pay a visit. Cute atmosphere totally worth it.

Really cute cafe. We had two toasts and the vegan salmon was amazing. It really tasted like salmon. The pastries also looked very delicious!

Excellent vegan pastries. It’s all vegan, I love the pastel de nata, the arugula pizza, and the tartlets. The artisanal bread it’s also amazing!
