Stumbling on the streets of Porto, you find something that pops out in a unique way - it’s kind of finding a scrap of very old newspaper that’s vintage and talks an important part of history. This place is like no other. This place is special. We’re talking about a “Grand Cafe”, something that truly reflects what a cafe should be.
At the door, you’ll find the Manager who’s on top of this business, well dressed and maintains one of the most charming body language I’ve ever seen someone professionally pulling it off. He’s got the Gatsby smile, and takes care of you in a way that suggests: what took you so long, old friend?
The place is superbly decorated, kind of like something extracted from Titanic dine rooms. It’s a place where you’d like to compliment your rendezvous with formal attire.
The seats, benches, ceiling and tables are all designed and decorated for you to stay and enjoy a place you don’t find quite often. It resembles remarkable aesthetics accompanied with notable designs and artwork.
You’ll also have a nice cup of coffee, and an outstanding french toast. Why are you reading this? JUST GO!

We heard about the Majestic Café from tour books as well as our local Airbnb host. More so from her recommendation we decided to visit and we aren't disappointed. True, the full breakfast is expensive, but it is very substantial and given the inexpensive meals we had everywhere else in Portugal, it was worth it. It is truly an exquisite location.

This place is like going back in time it's really worth a visit bear in mind it's a very busy place and you can expect to wait a little bit but it's worth it just to have a coffee, beer or glass of wine. The food is very good but some would say a little pricey but it's well worth it. We shared an afternoon tea at €35 and it was good.

We saw the lines on the weekend, so decided to return Monday at opening time. It was perfect! No lines, great service, no wait! Yes, it’s really beautiful inside and I enjoyed my cinnamon fork imprint and my french toast. The king statue stared down in glee while I chewed. Lovely breakfast!

The food, coffee, tea, and atmosphere were amazing! Though a bit pricier than other places, it was worth the experience. See photos for what we ordered.

A beautiful place with historical and cultural significance. Of course the prices are high for dining in such a building but the service is excellent!

This is one of those MUST GO places if you are visiting Porto, builded on the Belle époque era, you will feel transported to the past in this very impressive restaurant and cafe which tells a lot of Porto’s history for being the place where artists, writers and influence people got together during important historic’s moments of the city. The art and hand crafted work in this building is beyond espectacular. They offer a large menu where to choose, you can enjoy from a simple coffee to a large meal with family and friends. Majestic Cafe is always busy, it’s normal to see a line on the street waiting to go in, they have a very organized system so the line goes fast, we didn’t wait to long to get our table. Prices are not the cheapest but the experience is worth it. I totally recommend it!
Very professional staff. Service and assistant dogs are allowed.

I have been here before during the day but have to say that when you can visit in the late afternoon or evening it is very nice. Much quieter and instead of a, very expensive coffee and cake, I now choose a cake and a port wine which made the luxury experience even better! Not cheap but a must do in my opinion. Service is chique. The entourage brings you back to in time.

Setting is amazing, food choice is limited but they have 2 good choices of everything, soup, salad, pasta, fish and meat. Everything works, service, food and drinks. Beautiful place. For small budget come for coffee and pastries. For a larger budget you can focus on a main meal.
We had Ceasar salad, spaghetti bolognese, duck on wine port, vegetable soup and they were all delicious.

We went for breakfast, each having a coffee, they had non-dairy milk options as well, and shared a French Toast. The food was delicious and we were tempted to get another.
We didn't have to queue either and went straight through. The staff were friendly and looked after us quickly.
The room itself is impressive and definitely worth a visit.
It was a little on the expensive side compared to other places in the area, but definitely worth a visit.

The Majestic meets all expectations in terms of hospitality, food quality, service, and atmosphere.

The prices are on the high end yes but this information is public and open for all to review. Complaining about the high prices is not warranted and if you didn't do your research, don't complain about the prices.

An excellent venue with an atmosphere that feels immersive

This cafe has an absolutely magical atmosphere. A beautiful setting with beautiful amenities, I couldn't be more pleased. Service was nice, coffee and Pastel de Nata were good, fresh orange juice was great.
