O Galeão

Perfect food and perfect owner of this place. Very good local white wine. They bring you some bread with local cheese and pepper sauce as a starter. We shared octopus salad and then mix salad with tuna and octopus risotto. Everything fresh and delicious. Very big portion but they gave us takeaway box. In the end the owner offered us also a homemade fruit licor. 5 stars for food and for people who worked there. Just before the lunch we punctured tire but they even help us to change it! Go there if you visit Pico not just for food but also to meet amazing local people

Great food and very friendly staff. The meat is so tender and beautifully prepared, the octopus stew just fantastic. I highly recomand this place

Fully agree with other positive reviews about o Galeao. Simple but wonderful place with very friendly service. The catch of the day (grouper) was perfectly prepared and tasted delicious.

Great homey place with simple, delicious food at affordable prices. The galeao burger was one of the best we’ve ever had. Totally worth the stop, especially if you’re wine tasting around here.

The owner is really nice and speak many languages. We ate fresh fish it was delicious and amazingly cheap. Highly recommend

Steak is alright but the burger is excellent

This was our favorite snack bar on our Azores visit! We stayed just down the street and came here a few times. The food is great (and so reasonably priced), the surrounding scenery is stunning, and the hospitality is so warm. And, it's right next to a perfect swimming spot at the port. Grateful for the lovely experience!

We are so happy that we found this place early during our stay! We will certainly go back a few more times! For the Pico climbers, fantastic place to stop after summit to kick your feet up and treat yourself to some delicious food, a glass wine and espresso! Highly recommended!
