Excellent service. The car we received was in great condition. The pick up was great and the representative took us out to the car for full briefing and orientation. Drop off was super easy as they came to the hotel to pick the car up from us. Only complaint would be that you only get a 1/2 tank of gas and have to manage to bring it back with the same amount. Please just fill it up and eliminate the hassle for the customer. I imagine this is how car rental companies squeeze a little more margin from the customer. Despite this, I would rent from this business again in a heartbeat.

Amazing company with great service and personable employees. We rented a car from Madpoint, and must have accidentally selected a manual car when we rented online. When we arrived in Madeira, the employees were very kind to us and upon learning that the manual car rental was an accident, they worked very hard to find another rental company with an automatic car available to us at a reasonable price. Couldn’t be more grateful to them, and they waived the fee for the manual car we didn’t end up using. Truly one of the best experiences I’ve had with a company.

Since I am 21 and have only 1 year of driving experience I emailed them whether it was possible to rent a car. They responded quickly and told me that it was no problem. Also the fact that I had no credit card was not a problem... I could simply pay the deposit in advance with my debit card and got it send back a day after we dropped off the car.

When we came to pick up the car at the airport a guy was waiting for us outside, we walked with him and we went over all the details, we were given a brand new car with only 2700km on the clock. The guy who gave us the car spoke very good English aswell. So we then set our signature, payed and were ready to go, very easy.

Btw I would recommend getting a car with a few more horses and an automatic was also very welcome😄. So we had a Citroën C4 automatic with around 130hp which was well suited for the steep roads out there.👍

Smooth experience! Picked up B class Fiat Panda for a week of driving with the offered insurance and it was a great experience. We were two in the car and I wasn't worried about the power as it took us up to the steepest hills and long trips in the mountains to levadas and other amazing spots in the nature. Only on trip to 25 fontes I got feeling that it would use a car with a bit more power.

Pick up in the office in Funchal was easy, we got tips on what to visit and what and where to eat from the lovely lady handing us the car (Thanks, it was great!).

Drop off the same, we had it near the airport, so Silvio just checked the car, filled the form and took us to the airport, I believe 15 mins altogether.

10/10 Would rent again!

Tip: we started looking into car rental ~10 days before vacation (first week of May) and most of the companies were quite out of cars, so I'd recommend to start more in advance.

The best experience I could have asked for! We were 4 people and rented the car for 5 days. Lipa is an excellent professional who helped us throughout our trip. She explained everything to us and even recommended some amazing places to visit. We are very grateful to Lipa and we were very amazed by madpoint's service, the car was very good and we didn't have any problems with the delivery of the car. Highly recommend!

Cheapest deal I could find on Madeira Island, booking online and pick up at the airport worked perfectly. The car had already a few dents, but this wasn't a problem at the return. For safty you still should take fotos before you take the keys. Our car (Citroen C1) had Apple Carplay, which was extremly helpful for navigation. You could fold down the rear seats, so 2 big and 2 small suitcases fittet in the car. Definitaly recomend this company, if you want to rent a car here.

Highly recommend. Very quick and easy with good communication. The car was in great condition and no problems at all. We had a VW T-Cross which was perfect for the mountains and has a lot of driver assistance (all round sensors, hill assist, reverse camera) which makes it even easier.

I found this local company on a forum. Multiple people were very satisfied with it so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did.

We rented a Fiat Panda Hybrid 11 days for 420€ all included and with a all-in-one insurance. We paid cash and did not leave any deposit (no credit or debit card needed at all).

Getting and returning the car was amazingly smooth. The car itself worked perfectly.

For information, we rented a Group B vehicle which was good enough for two persons with the luggages. For a larger group, I would suggest a more powerful and larger car. Roads can be pretty steep in Madeira!

I had the pleasure of renting a car with Madpoint, in Madeira, from May 22 to today, May 26, 2023. Everything went perfect. Super professionals, kind, and punctual. The car (Peugeut 208) was new, perfectly clean, and in perfect condition. Everything was clearly explained regarding the company rules and local rules, and where to leave the car at the end of the journey. All very simple and clear.
My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier and more satisfied. I can only say beautiful things about them, and obviously I recommend to everyone to rely on them if you want to visit Madeira in complete serenity.

Came very late, half an hour before midnight. The guy from rental agency was waiting for us in front of the airport. Very pleasant suprise , also very profesional. Car ( Škoda) was in excellent condition. Clean. Full tank. Parking few minutes walking distance. We managed all paperwork and details in few seconds. After long web searches I found this car rental company that offers full insurance, does not charge for car delivery to the airport, you don't need credit card and it has very good reviews. I booked through their website very easily and I communicated the same very easily via wattapp and email. The car was in excellent condition which made our transport on the island a real pleasure. Very friendly and professional! When we made a booking with Madpoint, I accidentally reserved a manual car instead of automatic. The Madpoint staff didn’t have an automatic car available, but they helped me find one at another rental agency in just a few minutes. Madpoint also processed an immediate refund. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out after I made that initial mistake.

After trying way2azores and realising they have lots of hidden fees, we tried madpoint as it was down the road. No hidden fees and Sylvio was very helpful and friendly. Kia Picanto was new and good enough power for a car with 2 people. It had android auto and apple play to help view maps easier and play music through.

It includes a lift back to the airport at the end of the rental agreement also.

I'm very satisfied with this car rental. Renting a car was easy. Payment with card is possible. Price was pretty ok.
The car (Fiat panda) is a bit over 1 year old. Everything was working in it, even AC.
It isn't the strongest car to go uphills, but the fuel consumption wasn't high and I could rely on it.

We rented an Opel Crossland during our Madeira-trip, and we were very happy with the renting-experience. Highly recommended!
