18th October '23 table booked - eat here every time we stay in Alvor. First time to try the Fish Cataplana (portugese version of Seafod Chowder) did enjoy but hard to beat a good chowder.
Do recommend this place 👌

Just visit the restaurant. Very Lucky to found Table free yesterday. Allways si busy. Very good food, good service. Tipica end traditional restaurante. Soup of the day vegeta le Soup, chicken piri piri. Very good. The best IS allways book a Table because IS always full.

This restaurant is AMAZING! We had a sea food rice and I highly recommend it. On the other hand, the service was GREAT!

Beautifully run family restaurant. We have dined there over the last few years and it is so good you really do need to book. Food and service is fantastic. Owners are so welcoming. We have booked a holiday for May 2022 and although not staying in Alvor this time we have decided to book taxis to Alvor from our resort (Praia de Rocha) at least 3 nights of our stay to dine there. Need we say more?

Excellent home made food at very good price: we had an amazing 'arroz con peixe' (be careful the portions are big), grilled squids and shrims with boiled vegetables. The owner is also very kind, you feel to be in a familiar environment. We strongly reccomend it. Don't miss it!! (Book in advance as there are no many tables)

Our family ate here twice whilst in Alvor for a week. Excellent service and great food everytime. Looks nothing from the outside but far from the madding crowd up the road and very laid back inside. Would definitely recommend.

Great service, the waiters are extremely friendly and I was delighted with the service. We were served by a lovely man and I was extremely pleased with how much he cared about us.

We couldn't get a table another day, and decided to come back the following day and our server remembered us.

The food is great value, good quality and I felt not pressured to order quickly. I could relax and enjouly my time instead.

The walls are decorated and the music was lovely. You can't get bored here.

One of our favourite places in alvor. Food is really good and homemade tasting. Sangria was delicious, very good quality- price. Gentlemen in charge very friendly and helpful. Recommend

Amazing food at great prices, a little gem in Alvor. Authentic and great staff, they welcome you in, a true family run restaurant which is rare to find. Would highly recommend and will definitely return again and again. Also the sangria is exceptional. Best place to eat and sure drink. Make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment.

Lucky to get a table. Many turned away. The prawns were delicious. Service was brilliant.

First here 25 years ago, glad to see it hasn't changed much. Great food and nice, traditional feel and atmosphere.

After reading the reviews we thought we would give it a go, so glad we did could not fault anything I asked if I could take the chef home turns out it was his wife. If your near you must try if not you should get a taxi to try we will be back for sure
