We had a wonderful day with Juan Carlos at Ollantaytambo tours travel. We made a special request to visit a community, and it was a highlight of our trip. We got to experience a place where homemade chicha morada is made. We then went to a beautiful village, Palomar, and met the wonderful family of Eusebio Mendez. It was one of our favorite experiences in Peru. Juan Carlos was absolutely professional. I would love to come back and have him take my family hiking or to visit ruins in the sacred valley on my next visit. As someone who was born in Ollantaytambo, Juan Carlos truly understands the culture and history of this amazing place!

While visiting Ollantaytambo with friends, we met Juan Carlos, who offered to host a tour to visit pre-Incan ruins. We drove Into the Andes mountains in a very spacious and comfortable minivan, passing Farms, mountain views and Traversing scenic switchbacks. Upon Reaching our destination, we climbed on foot to higher elevations to reach the pre-Incan ruins, Approximately 1500 years old. we stopped at several points during our hike and Juan Carlos shared many interesting stories about the history and the culture of his people. With 25 years experience, he is extremely passionate and very knowledgeable and is an excellent tour guide. His driver was highly skilled as we ascended mountain passes . If you Are visiting Ollantaytambo , I would not miss doing a tour with this company.

We had a wonderful experience going up in the Andies and fishing for trout and then having pachamanka with a local family. Every one was so kind, attentive and such a great experience for both adults and our 7 and 12-year olds

Thank you to Juan Carlos for taking me and my family on a horseback ride through the outskirts of Ollantaytambo. We went along a beautiful river and saw amazing landscapes. The ride was about 3 hours and there was also another guide walking with us to ensure we were safe with the horses. Juan Carlos have us some great historic information about the area. Highly recommend him for your tour!

We booked an 11-seater from Ollantaytambo to Cusco for two families via Juan Carlos. He was friendly and responsive as he gave us the transportation for the same day and coordinated well to start on time. However he gave us a 7 seater instead and didn’t give any refund for the smaller space. Next, our driver said he wasn’t told the complete route while Juan Carlos gave some excuse to us to pay him some more. We treated that as tip but this is not professional.
Juan Carlos seems experienced, kept his time, helped us with our luggage and the van was still comfortable with a friendly driver so I recommend him but will emphasize double confirming the agreement with all involved parties to avoid surprises.
