Café The Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman Café is a pretty cool place really close to Centraal Station. There are quite a few beers on tap to choose from, and there are a bunch of other options for drinks as well. It was relatively quiet when we arrived, so we sat upstairs and stayed there where it remained quiet for the couple of hours we stayed. Definitely a good place to hang out for a few beers.

The owner is someone to meet! Best bar in Amsterdam. Would always come back. Super friendly.

We stayed in hotel Jimmy next door (excellent cheap place to stay) and we would visit here in the evenings!

Tina and the bartender were absolutely fantastic and very accommodating, letting us watch our team play in the champions league which was a memorable night!

Drinks were generous and service was top class! Free pool downstairs which we enjoyed and had a great laugh! Customers were friendly and we had a lovely time hearing their stories! Great little bar 3 min walk from central station!

Well worth the visit!

Went here a few years ago and visited again a few days ago. The place isn't a big fancy bar, it's very basic but the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. We'll be visiting again

Used to go in there in late 80s , it was a a bit rough n ready but good all the same , barmaid called penny was fantastic. They sold weed out of big box with prices on the lid , have so many great memories of that bar ,, was guilders back then

Great place, excellent beers, extremely welcoming staff.
The place is very basic. You will find there an excelent variety of beer (some of them were really exceptional, after tasting them I have totally changed my mind about dutch beer; before that I associated it with lagers like Heineken or Amstel) as well as some other alcohol beverages, and some snacks. Yet, the atmosphere of the place was charming, and a really good music was playing at the background. The staff was extremely lovely. Since my first visit there I felt in love with the place and visited it twice during my last trip to the Amsterdam.

Cracking little pub with a variety of beers and spirits there's a pool table in the basement to kill a bit of time,the landlady is really nice and talkative

Great choice of delicious beers, great location, good for both small and large groups. Often quiet and ready to be lightened up. Staff is great fun.

Excellent chill out bar. Tinika behind the bar is an absolute riot. Shows sport. And the best bit..... Absolutely NO screaming brats.
