We made a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner with short notice and even showed up early and they were able to accommodate us. The staff was very friendly. There was a prix fix menu and their regular menu. We ordered from regular menu and ordered BBQ flatbread and burger and shared them. They were both brought out fresh and savory. The temp on the burger was not asked ahead of time but comes out juicy and tender. The Berry Basil and Jack’s Ginger cocktails were refreshing and paired well with our dishes. The ambiance in the evening with all of candles lit is perfection.

A beautiful morning place, historic building at Nieuwmarkt square. The food is good. Menu big enough to pick some nice dishes.

Today i had my lunch here. Super friendly staff, great service and hearty (triple cheeseburger) toastie. The coffee was also great! The price is reasonable. I recommend this place if you are touring in the city center.

Thus was a dinner for a conference, so a small group of people attended the dinner with a set menu.

The tuna salad was good and the fish with Asian flare was quote tasty. The sauce had a bit of sourish flavor and udon noodles as the base.

Services were good and overall, a very satisfying experience.

Fleur (our waitress) was attentive to our needs, and friendly too. Did we mentioned she acrobatically light up the candles in the restaurant (joke she made) got us laughing. Food was good, portion was ok, and ambience is really cool if you’re into dark interior, historical feel and something different. Loved their fries which is thick and crispy! Great Whitefish Dish served with their special sauce and couscous. Really enjoyed it and satisfied. The venue's castle-like ambiance can be great at night too. Service can be better as I think they are understaffed.

It’s such a cool building to dine in! I truly appreciate the unique characteristic place with real candle lit chandelier that reminds of the medieval ages. What’s more incredible is the reasonable price and food quality. Slightly elevated price but won’t burn a hole in your wallet. Brunch is totally worth it. Only complaint is the small portion of my eggs Benedict. But still 5 stars because I just love the romantic place so much

The sweat potato fries and sauce are amazing. It would be the best one which i’ve ever had.
The location and atmosphere is amazing. It is very good for after long walks and for a beer.
The staff are nice. I sit at the second yard of the place. That’s why the service was a bit slow.

Wonderful restaurant for dinner or a relaxing tea time. Great for a date night or with friends. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. They have a wide range of dishes and drinks. The deco is very cozy and the atmosphere is lovely. They even apologised for the inconvenience of only having one toilet.

We stayed in Amsterdam and visited Waag on the evening of our 30th Anniversary. Whitley and the team treated us fantastically. We had the most wonderful meal (Cote De Boeuf) and it was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. Thank you Whitley!

Had a delicious breakfast (ham croissant with salad and good sauce) in a building built in 1488! Real candles on the table and on the chandelier. Also the cleanest bathroom I've seen in the country so far!

It can be a favourite place to eat in Amsterdam, recommended!!

I mean, it's a restaurant in a small castle! What else could you ask for? They have good coffee, good beer, great food! We just arrived in Amsterdam and they had brunch type food at 3.00 or so, which was great. Waitress was also very pleasant even though they were busy.

Lovely place in the middle of everything,Perfect for a romantic meal.surprisingly fast service considering that they were very busy.Food came out presented beautifully and still hot,A bit pricey but definitely worth it.I’d love to come back one day

We had an amazing experience at this place. It is situated right in the middle of a market and very hard to miss being such a big castle :-) Ambience inside was lively with candles lit all over the place.
Food was awesome and the starters are definitely recommended. The service was very good and the staff really helped even though it was peak time. Definitely worth the visit!!

Stopped for an afternoon drink and Bitterballen. Lovely peaceful atmosphere. Love the mood of the place.
