Sexmuseum Amsterdam Venustempel

A must place to visit in Amsterdam, we had quite a few giggles walking round. We went on a Friday afternoon and paid for the tickets on the door, it was busy but not that busy so you couldn’t take plenty of pictures. We was probably in there about 45 minutes but your free to stay in there as long as you wish.

Visited on a Thursday, there was no queue outside or inside.

Takes however long you'd like, plenty to see and read about. One of the least expensive museums on the stretch, it seems ok to not book in advance here 👌

Pretty fun little museum you can stop in and buy a ticket at the door. Learned a few things as well that were interesting history

This was a unique experience. From the status, to the old clothing and even photos from the 1800's
I was fascinated with all the trinkets and paintings. You get to view sex and topics not as a taboo topic but as a history lesson.
I would definitely go back and would 100% recommend this museum.

It's a pretty fun place to visit and the price is cheap.

This was the best crack (excuse the pun🤣) the work gone into this place is mad. Such a funny experience walking around looking at everything and seeing other people's reactions too 🤣 we didn't go reading everything but there was an immense amount of information for everyone.

Fun experience for only €10, spent over an hour inside as there are many different displays and exhibits over 4 or 5 floors

it was very funny, entertaining and exciting. But guys... dont go with awkward friends or with your family. it has to be people who can handle the sight of exposed body parts.

The museum is quite small but there 3 floors to explore. There are various kind of pics and statues where you can gaze around. It's an informative place as well.

The entry fees are 10€ but you get what you pay.
On several floors are exhibited paintings, statues, dolls, and many more exhibitioned.
The dating goes from early years as the 13. Century till todays century.
I highly recommend to see this museum during a visit at Amsterdam.

It was a fun experience. If you have around an hour to spend in Amsterdam, it’s a worth visit.

The Sex Museum in Amsterdam shows lots of stuff about sex, like old pictures, sculptures, and interactive things. It's all about making sex normal to talk about and understand better. They want people to feel comfortable talking about sex and learn about it without feeling embarrassed.

Really fun place to visit. Had some interesting stuff and a lot of tongue in cheek displays. Overall worth the 10€ entry

A really impressive collection of erotic art and artifacts from all over the world dating back from ancient times to contemporary media.

Tickets are currently available for purchase online or in-person for 9€ (May 2022 price). Purchase in advance to avoid the line if you don’t like waiting in crowded spaces. Payment with cash or card.

Not recommended for children lol. Parental discretion definitely advised.

Displays are impressive and well-preserved, some have audio and/or text in different European languages. Some displays were out of order.

Bathrooms available for payment customers, but we’re out of order that day.

Guards are monitoring and cameras record everything, so be respectful and please behave yourself…

Very steep stairs, so please be careful, especially children and the elderly or disabled.

Really unique museum and certainly a good photo opportunity on certain statues.

Interesting look back across the centuries. Was a little busy at 13:00 on a Monday, would recommend.

A fun and interesting museum that teaches guests about the sexual history of the human species. The stair gallery had some beautiful artworks, which was my favorite part, but there was lots more to the exhibit worth seeing! We did not buy tickets in advance and walked right on in, but there was a line when we exited, so I suggest buying tickets in advance just in case.

Great experience for only €10 each.

Such a fantastic place to visit. If in Amsterdam it's a must.
