A cool space beautifully and thoughtfully curated. Great way to spend an afternoon with your kids. Maybe one of the most successful attempts I've ever seen to incorporate modern interactive science exhibits into a traditional museum space.

A cool experience, child and adult appropriate. It's all about the connections between all living things, set up as an interactive display. You need about an hour to see it.

There was an "ephoric aftertaste" from visiting this museum. The exposition is located in a historic building. It is modern and tells about who we are, what surrounds us, about our emotions and about our life. Excellent interactive audio and video installations.

Coolest museum Ive ever been to! Science museum about humans, their evolution and senses and our similarities and differences to other species. Spend over 2 hours there and would’ve stayed longer if we weren‘t so hungry and our heads full of knowledge. Definitely reccomend for everyone no matter the age!!!

Very exciting museum. We went twice because we couldn't see everything at once, it's not huge, but it's very impressive. So many interesting topics, questions to think about packed in a pretty convenient way - videos and audios to watch and listen. I liked it a lot because it was very calm, i guess the reservations actually work as intended, the fist time we were the only visitors at the time and it was the best museum experience ever 😅. But even after that when we weren't the only visitors, there were just a few more groups and that was it. The staff were also very kind and helpful, not rigid, because we had some trouble with scanning the qr- codes of our I Amsterdam cards, but they didn't make any problem about that. They also have some nice merchandise.

Possibly favorite child- friendly museum I've attended, and I've probably been to 20! Smaller, deeply tech integrated while stop accessible for younger down and those with learning difficulties. Beautifully appointed in phenomenal historical building. Seeks to promote thought around 1 central question [perhaps "the" central question]: what is life about?

An amazing interactive museum located in a stunning historic building in the vicinity of Amsterdam Zoo. A must for children too! Plenty of café restaurants adjacent to the museum

I had no idea what this was when I got talked into going but it was an intriguing and incredibly well designed trip into the human body and its place within nature. An absolute gem of a place, I would recommend anyone visit. Interactive, educational and fun.

Loved it!! The museum is organised by senses, focusing on understanding the world around us through sound, smell, sight, etc. There wasn’t necessarily a lot of new information to me, but I definitely thought of it in a new way. Very immersive, engaging, interactive. The sound installations made me more alert and aware of the major impact sound has on my life. The exhibitions are critical and witty, very eye-opening! Spent about 3 hours there.

Excellent little museum for exploring some key nature systems. Lots of interactive exhibits, really well organised displays and an awesome tunnel of smells!

Note: you don't need the Artis Zoo ticket to get in, and the museum card is accepted!

Expect to spend 1.5-2h there, probably more if you want to read all the notes and listen to everything.

It is one of the best museums in Amsterdam! Very positively surprised, as there is no great hype arpund it (don't know why) as for MOCO, Anne Frank museum etc.

Awesome museum, in an historical building of Artis. This was the first building of Artis. In this building they start with the idea of Artis and they decided which animals they prefer to buy.

The museum gives you a wonderful idea of the connection of us (human) with the nature. We are much more connected with the nature we did believe before.

Get a great idea of our body, bones, senses, smell and hearing.

And be aware of this historical building. You can even combine the visit of this museum with a visit to Artis or Micropia. So use your time and visit and get excited of our connection with the planet.

This museum was so interesting and fun I really do not want to recommend it because I'm afraid that it will be over run with tourists! LoL!!
They have a interesting way of shifting your perspective on various topics surrounding people/animals/enviroment.
Your first visit should be with their audio tour. Then go back later, a second time, skip the tour and just walk around and see what tickles your fancy!
I have been twice in one week and will definitely bring another visit again soon!

I believe more people should definitely know about this Museum because it has some really appealing nowdays topics from moral questions to the parallel between human life and animal life.

I really enjoyed the experience, overall it fit my expectations nicely, however I wouldn't mind a bit of an expansion on the exhibit.

The Groote museum has opened recently 🤩 it is mainly designed for kids, reviewing different biological aspects of life of humans and animals but I also found it very interesting 😃 I especially liked the tunnel of smells 🤩👃🏻

It is a beautiful small museum in a beautiful building with many interesting audio, visual and other interactive displays.
