Hotel Royal Taste

Me and four of my friends (all male) stayed here last weekend for a nice trip away. It wasn't a stag do but we were out enjoying ourselves. The rooms were what you would expect at this price point but were very clean. The service was excellent and friendly (especially the nice Portuguese lady behind the bar). The location was outstanding; we would 100% book here again if we came back to Amsterdam.

Excellent stay! I stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveler. The location is perfect so you can visit a lot of attractions by walk and see the nightlife of Amsterdam. Wonferful staff. I had a really great experience there

Greatest Bar in this street!! Small, unknown, good place to rest some hours! Keep the Barkeeper with all costs! Many love and greetings to Nuno! I will visit this bar every time im back in amster! :)

Just finished a 3 night stay and can say this is a great hotel in a great location. They have a little bar on site with some outside seating, room was of a good size for a single person, with daily housekeeping. The staff are super friendly and Julia the supervisor was so welcoming. In the room I couldn't hear anything from outside, despite being bang in the middle of the RLD. Cosy bed, fridge with little mini bar in room, T.V. Fan and bedside lamp all included also. Overall a very nice and comfortable stay. I will be back there soon.

I was excited to find a fan and a hair dryer at this hotel. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet even though I was in the heart of the red light district.
I felt safe as a female solo traveler, the staff were super friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.

I am glad that this hotel exceeded my initial expectations. Despite the fact that it is located in an old building, it was quite pleasant to stay in the room. Amenities included a hairdryer, coffee machine, refrigerator, small TV, fan, and you can ask for an iron at the bar. Don't forget to ask for the Wi-Fi password during check-in. The private bath and toilet are located outside the room, in my case directly opposite the front door, so be aware that you will need to access them through the public space. The staff was very friendly and ready to solve any problem you may have. The location is simply incredible if you want to make the most of your stay on the red light disctrict.

Le patron Martin est adorable et discute avec gentillesse. Martin the boss is adorable you will have a great time. We just had a few drinks in the bar we didn't sleep in the room.
I recommend the place, Nice prices too.

We loved our stay here, the owners were friendly and it was the perfect respite from some of the Craziness of Amsterdam. Everyone to a tee, was lovely, we met some fantastic people, and had a amazing time. The room was perfect, we will definitely be back. Special mention must go to Julie one of the bar staff, she was joy personified, and a huge asset to the hotel! Keep her at all costs! We look forward to returning to see our new made friends. Salut! Great, cute, little bar in the heart of the Red Light district. Friendly bartenders, outstanding service, and world class ambiance. If you’re a fan of small local pubs, this is your spot!

Brilliant hotel with super friendly staff. The room at the front of the hotel looking out to all the action was a great experience. Excellent location right in the heart of the red light district. Loved the bar where we spent our evenings meeting new people ✌☺

Very nice rooms with a small bar downstairs. From the bar you have a nice view on everything that happens in the streets of the infamous Red Light District.

Myself & 3 friends stayed here only last week & I have to say we had the best time!
The location is perfect! The room we had was a really fair size whereas my friends room was a little smaller but big enough to share comfortably. They have adjacent bathrooms but we had no problem with this.
The stairs are a killer but you get used to it I even managed them in heels one evening 👍 the whole place is really nice & clean the staff are super friendly & really helpful
I cannot recommend this place enough!
To be sat on the front in the thick of it at any time of day is a real eye opener but by the time darkness falls & the red lights illuminate the streets its simply mind blowing for people watching! The bar is well stocked & open untill 1am

Located in hustle and bustle of the Amsterdam Red Light. Great host and spectacular canal view from room 1. Surprisingly large room and cleaned daily. Beds are comfortable, great sleep had. If you don't mind noise until early morning, this suits perfectly.

We visited the bar and Martin was very professional and kind!

Great location & friendly staff, always happy to help. Tidy room, clean sheets - slept well. Paid £60 per night for 2-night stay. Plug adapters available free of charge. Bar closes at 1am. 24hr doors. Highly recommend

Brilliant hotel in the heart of the red-light district. has a pub which is one of the cheapest places to drink in the red light, next to the premium red lights ;) (hint don't get sucked in). Couldn't of been a better location. Room tided, new cleaning products and tails everyday. staff are 5*

Stopped in for a drink here and the barman was super friendly and the place was lovely,charming and spotless. Unknowingly the owner sat beside us in the window with his beautiful doggy luna and chatted with us for ages. Best wishes from ireland
