Great coffee and always a friendly welcoming face each visit. Lots of cool old school records and material plus magazines to read. An excellent spot to have a coffee on a cold, wet day ☕

I have been there only once during my trip unfortunately but I loved this place to pieces, the coffee was great, there was good music and the barista was pleasant. But above all I must say, this place has character. It is uncompromising on quality and style, and it is all I could hope for in an independent specialty coffee place

I loved the coffee, its atmosphere, and the music! We had cold brews and a type of french cake. Both the coffee and the cakes tasted very good. The music was also great. Strongly recommended

Visited this cool coffee spot that’s also a vinyl shop. Loved the vibe and the unique combo of great coffee and a wide vinyl selection. Note: seating is limited.

Exceptional coffee here. I love that I get to choose the type of beans. We had an oat cappuccino and an oat flat white and both were perfectttt. Came back two days in a row.

@blackgoldamsterdam had great reviews online so we headed there this morning for coffee.

It is an easy going chilled atmosphere. It doubles as a vinyl store which added to the experience.

The coffee was smooth and an easy drink. We are quite hard to please with coffee but this definitely hit the mark for us

I had to come back. Discovered this place two days ago and I think this is the best coffee in Amsterdam. I don’t usually write reviews but want to point this place out to anyone looking for really really good coffee. It’s also a vinyl shop with good music playing. Worth walking a couple of streets out of the busy area to get here.

Great coffee and pastries to choose from. I had a Brazilian coffee and some pastries. Delicious!

Staff were cool and welcoming. Aisha and Dave were very helpful. They make you feel like you at home.

Had a very pleasant experience at Black Gold. Located on the relatively quiet area of the city, it’s a great place to grab a coffee and have a chill time. Their unique concept of selling vinyls and other goods made the experience even richer and fuller. Recommended.

Excellent coffee, atmosphere, service, and price-to-quality. Barista was super busy but was still nice, high quality, and quick.

There was also live music as the place has a big focus on vinyl records if I recall correctly.

Beautiful taste, fresh beans, richness, smooth milk, and they offer oat milk varieties which isn't as common in the area.
Hip little spot with great staff and a chill vibe.

It's such a cool chilled out coffee shop, and it's definitely a cafe that I will be returning when to Amsterdam.
The cafe works serve you some coffee (I had a Cappuccino, which was perfect. You can buy a cake, then sit on a sofa and enjoy the vibe while listening to hip hop, and what I must add, a very good selection of albums. You can spend all day just chilling. The music wasn't overpowering with the volume. It's just right. The location of the cafe isn't too far either. What five minutes walk from the centre of Amsterdam, which is also perfect if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of Amsterdam.

One of the best specialty coffee shops with a cool vibe. Great to chill and listen to some beats. If you get lucky you’ll see David play the flute to the beat.

A perfect speciality cafe, where you can find a lot of vinyl recordings and also listen to some right there.

The atmosphere and the design is really nice.

Coffee was also pretty good and the barista was really kind and helpful.

The dessert we had was strange, it's not for everyone, but you can give it a try.

Arrived at the place just as the door opened up. Monsieur Barista nailed it, from the music choice of “Like a ship” to the coffee pairing of “red honey” beans. On top of everything, I am grateful for his sharing of knowledge to demystify different ways of processing and beans. It’s a dream :)

Far from the madding crowd. Something a bit different in Amsterdam, a coffee shop that doesn't have, WiFi or allow the smoking of Mary Jane. Just a coffeeshop that serves excellent coffee with cool music in the background.

Came to this place by pure luck (well ... via google maps 'explore nearby' really). It's situated in the heart of Amsterdam Old East. Very interesting hipster atmosphere, nice coffee. The cafe is combined with music shop (vinyl and CDs primarily). Recommended - would love to visit again.
