Exceptional service that one really sees in chain shops. When they could not find what I wanted, the lady has called other Da branches and found for me, rather than just saying 'we do not have it". Thanks!

Expensive and with inefficient employees who obviously think customers have all day to wait for them to come to the cashier desk.

Really disappointed with the rude service despite calling ahead :(

I called before I came, because I had to ride there from work and I knew I would just make it there before they closed. I said I would arrive just before 6pm to collect a package and I asked if that would be ok, in case they might be closing earlier than the time stated online. The lady just confirmed that they close at 6. I thanked her and said ‘ok, I will race there now!’ So they knew I was coming.

Upon my arrival, a lady with a shaved head saw me pulling up out the front, and as I was parking my bike she quickly came and locked the door so I couldn’t get in. I knocked and explained that I just needed to quickly collect a package, and asked if they could please let me in. She just shook her head with a frown and said kept saying no.

I have worked in retail and understand the frustration of trying to leave on time. But if she had explained on the phone that they wouldn’t let anyone into the store when it’s close to closing time, then I wouldn’t have rushed there in the first place. She had the opportunity to tell me and she chose not to. Furthermore, they shouldn’t say they are ‘open’ until 18:00 if they actually mean they will ‘leave’ at that time. Normally in retail the opening hours should be 15minutes earlier (or however long they need to close up the shop) for a better staff and customer experience (instead of staff and customers being frustrated with each other, like what happened today).

**edit** they have now responded below, claiming that I was there ‘a couple of minutes after 6 o clock’ in an attempt to make it look like I was there later than I was.
This is false information, I even took a photo of the door, which was *after* it was locked, and after I had knocked and pleaded to collect the package. And the timestamp is *still* before 18:00. It’s not just the fact that they locked me out, it’s also the way that they spoke to me both on the phone and in person in such a rude and dismissive way. It was a very unpleasant experience, and even worse now that they are denying the facts - so no, I will not support this business.
