We came here for the flip book and we were not disappointed. It came out great and was not too busy. Use the free ferry to get to the eye museum which is by the river. Exhibitions were interesting and creepy but good if you like film and intrigued.

Kids loved & so did the parents! Very interactive and gives a lot of space for folks to enjoy without feeling overly crowded.

Great activity for the kids!

Great museum, modern and well stocked with a great restaurant /cafe on site, book your table ahead if you'd like a water side one views are to die for. Low entry fee, great place for adults and children too.

A really beautiful building to visit. The film museum is very interesting with some great activities to complete regarding film making. The exhibits are well presented with good information provided on each one in Dutch and English. There are several film screens to enjoy different movies. There is also an exhibition space and cafe. The views looking back towards centrall station are great.

Big movie theater, good movie choices. The concept of restaurant/museum/collection/theater is really nice. The views are amazing, easy to get to it taking the ferry. Amazing staff also. The museum is really really small (15 min long) , I think the film topic is so vast but they don’t talk about it enough. If they make it bigger and include more topics they could increase the museum popularity. If you go make sure to complement it with other activities

This is another one of those places that visitors to Amsterdam should go to. There are so many interesting and interactive elements to keep you entertained. A free ferry across the river and stunning view of the city if you want to venture next door to the Adam.

A wonderful film museum with different exhibitions taking place. I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend taking the ferry across to visit it. The ferry is free and leave about every 10 minutes, the time spent on the ferry in total is approximately 6 minutes. Enjoy yourself!

Visited permanent exhibition about filmmaking history and the exhibition dedicated to Werner Herzog’s work. Found everything very interesting.
The building itself is beautiful and nicely decorated inside. Enjoyed spending time there.

Nice museum and good exhibition about niche director. That being said you are expected to watch big chunks of movies, so if you want something more active go for some other place

Didn't go inside the museum but lounged around outside the building which is a marvel. Lots of outdoor benches and a nice vantage point to look across the river.

Beautiful architectural space to house some very historical film makers exhibits. I thought so the projections were really well done. Reasonably priced as well

It really tells you a lot about the history of film.
Besides the interesting history, it has interactive parts and the day I went had a temporary exhibition.

Wow, what a building. This is not what I expected, the whole building is like an art installation itself, let alone all the cool arty exhibits and pieces inside. The wall projections are fun to pose in, and the shop has loads of film posters, movies, books and other bits.

The bar is a must, just sitting amongst cinemagoers and all the hipster/artsy people is fun, it's a really classy bar and the drinks choice is varied, I'd come here again just to people watch and relax.

Lovely stuff on front desk. Place was quiet due to some works being done, so we didn't get to experience the full exhibition, but what we got to see for free was awesome. I'm sure the full exhibition is amazing
