Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Beautiful and clean airport that is larger than it appears on maps provided by the airlines.

When looking at the departures board, it is organized by the departure time rather than alphabetical for destination cities. If you know that, you should have no issues, found any direct date to make a connection.

Well organized with wide walkways and many moving walkways to get you to your gate quickly and efficiently. Just be careful when exiting the moving walkway. It is very easy for your luggage to tip over if you have more than one piece stacked on top of each other.

Plenty of shops to pickup a snack for on the plane or gifts to bring to loved ones. Everything from high end champagne to small toys. Will require you to produce a boarding pass or as they refer to it, aborting card. This is not something that is in clerk's control so please don't be upset with them about it.

They are about halfway through decorating the airport for the Christmas holiday upcoming. I expect when I pass back through on my way home in 2 weeks it will be bustling like a mall ready for Christmas shoppers!

The Dutch knows how to build Airport. Nearly 200 gates airport(think about the complexity) - they run the airport in a great way. Absolutely brilliant infrastructure- they don’t have inside complicated railway system. The rail station is in the central of the airport for the better accessibility.

Fun fact : The airport is the Below sea level. And old control try tower is a restaurant now. Try it for the view.

Excellent airport to transfer in. Well laid out and easy to navigate, tons of shops and stores to get whatever you need. The food court was very impressive with a delicious assortment of sandwiches, soups, and baked goods. The usual junk chains such as BK are also available.

There are prayer rooms for Muslims, which is very important, sleep pods, art installations, and more.

It's predominantly a KLM hub, but all airlines are here. Keep in mind your transfer time. This airport is enormous and needs walking time

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the main international airport of the Netherlands. It is the home of the KLM Royal Dutch Airline. It is a very beautiful and large airport with flight connections to major destinations all over the world. It has buses and trains connections, nice airport lounges, duty free shops, and enough seats to relax. It is a very neat and quiet airport. Really nice!

In terms of functionality, this is one of the best airports I have been to. It is extremely accessible from the city via public transit and the airport staff are professional and helpful. There’s plenty of shopping and things to occupy your time with in the terminals as well.

This definitely is at my top for airports!

Amsterdam airport has very professional staff who helped me rebook my flight due to delays. Additionally, I received monetary compensation for the problems. The airport is designed in a tasteful way, has many gates and many flights to different parts of the world. I recommend!

Huge airport, clean and easy to navigate. The signs and instructions are quite clear although sometimes it's hard to find an assistant to ask for information. Everybody there speaks excellent English.

Parking is super expensive, but quick pick up and drop off are quite easy.

The train platform connects directly to the entry hall with lots of ticket machines (also in English), so it's straightforward and easy.

Taxi pick up if you book on some of the websites would be on the Departure floor and a lot cheaper.

It's a big airport and kinda the central so security checks can be long, recommended to check the Schiphol website for those information.

Nice hotel, the rooms are beautifully designed and clean, the beds are very comfortable but the double beds are made out of 2 mattresses, which doesn't look so good. The breakfast is good as well. The location is close to the airport if you need a quick nap, but a little far from the city if you are looking for a holiday. They have parking and bikes to rent if you wanna go around.

This was the third time, I landed and visited Schiphol Airport. The best thing it is well connected with bus and train. Yet omit is over crowded. The worst experience we had during immigration, there were only one person dealing for international passport , one person for EU . We took more than an hour just to reach the officer . Likewise, the luggage line was too far. That’s infact the beauty of airport to handle that crowd.

PD gadget chargers everywhere, very, very clean as always. A good dose of duty-free options. But if your flight is late in the night, you could suddenly find yourself lost inside this huge facility! This is because several gates and sections are closed completely until around 7 a.m. All you need to do is ASK any uniformed official for help. I nearly missed my flight for not finding the small, almost hidden access to my departure gate.

As a frequent flyer, I appreciate the well-organized layout, speedy security checks, and abundance of shopping and dining options. The airport's commitment to cleanliness and modern facilities enhances the overall experience. The friendly and multilingual staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. While the terminal can get busy, the well-managed queues and smooth boarding process make it manageable. Schiphol remains a reliable and enjoyable hub, making my travels a breeze. Four stars for consistently exceeding expectations!

Beautiful airport serving Amsterdam and the Netherlands. So easy to get to from Amsterdam City Center. There’s a direct train that leaves every 20-30 minutes. The airport is big and the signage is excellent. Plenty of high end duty free shopping in case you forgot anything.

Very big airport, no doubts about that, however it's extremely efficient. I found my departure gate in 5 min no problem. Screens for flight schedules are everywhere, facilities and shops are also everywhere, I had no problems finding everything I needed. Most seats in the waiting areas have plugs for recharging electronics.

Very large aéroport with large central area. There is a lot of different area where you can rest and relax. Indications are available and useful including time to destination

Schipol Airport is one of the most beautiful airports in the world as you’ll get everything that you can dream of. So I’m a Marine Engineer and I have been travelling for over 12 years. I have had a good experience of travelling in all the airlines including Qatar, Etihad, Emirates, Gulf Air, Singapore Airlines, United, Delta, Lufthansa and many other domestic airlines and I always have enjoyed my travel on the basis of things that I get to explore with the airline.

Airports define themselves on the basis of ease of frisking and check-ins, which are genuinely exceptional at Schipol as you can check in less than an hour and be at your destined gate. The airport is so beautiful that you wouldn’t want to leave and can be in a lay over for hours even after flying for long. All expensive brands work out the aura of the airport as well. Well connectivity and charging plugs everywhere keep travellers hooked constantly to their gadgets.

I’ll talk a little about KLM Dutch airlines as well.

There’s no doubt about Qatar, Emirates and Etihad being the best ones in everything but then KLM is no less. I flew from New Orleans to Amsterdam and then from Amsterdam to New Delhi and had one heaven of an experience.

The leg space was way better than what one could imagine from the economy. The food was delicious and had amazing choices. I being a vegetarian is very selective but they had all the options and never ratted out if I asked for the 2nd servings. They had a vast collection of beverages, alcoholic and non alcoholic and it was truly an amazing experience with them.

One of the most eye catching things about KLM was their inflight infotainment system, which had an impeccable touch screen which never hanged and appeared to be truly premium in all respects. They had the latest collection of movies that I always wanted to watch.

Oh yea, one of the most important things that I missed was the internet. They had free internet all through the flight. Messaging was completely free and exceptionally fast. Browsing was available for something very cheap and affordable.

And yes, they served with a smile :)

P.S. they have a dedicated meditation room as well.

So 5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the inflight infotainment system and rest everything else.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is one of Europe's major airports and known for its efficiency and facilities. It offers a wide range of services, shops, and dining options. I love this airport. It’s one of my preferred destinations to fly through. Their seating and lounging services are quite comfortable when compared with other similar airports.

Public Transit Bus to city centre was very convenient. You can also buy 1 day, 2 day and 3 day passes at this red bus. Exit Schiphol Plaza door C ( all internal airport signs points point to Trains follow these ). One way ticket to city centre €6.50.
